This was rather thought provoking. If Qui Gon had lived and trained Anakin, the young Skywalker would most likely have become a more calm and well-adjusted Jedi, and less needy and desperate; in other words, less vulnerable to the deceptions and manipulations of Lord Sidious... Qui-Gon, Anakin, Obi- wan and Dooku would've been a formidable quartet. Sidious may very well have met his end much earlier.

Seeing his former Padawan(Qui Gong) training the chosen one would probably give Dooku the inspiration he needed to stay with the Jedi order. This also means Mace Windu would be part of that group because of his close relationship with Dooku not to mention Dooku would probably have helped foster a better relationship between Windu and Anakin. Also Master Sifo Dyas would not have been murdered. Sidious would definitely have been screwed! Great post, you are definitely right and I agree with you that those 4 alone would have been too much for Sidious to deal with.

We all saw what happened when Mace windu, kit fisto, Saesee tinn and Agen Kolar tried attacking Darth Sidious... I highly doubt dooku, qui-gon, Obi-Wan, and Anakin would have done much better

First of all everyone not named Mace Windu is weaker than everyone name within the quartet containing The freaking Chosen one AND Dooku. Those two alone would likely be too much for Sidious especially in a lightsaber duel. Sidious' own master said that if there was one Jedi who he worried about defeating his apprentice in one on one light saber combat it was Dooku. In the scenario mentioned Anakin was trained by Qui Gong, Obi Wan and Dooku(likely others) meaning he would not have been distracted like he was with Padmud and his mother and would be more focused and powerful than he was in Revenge of the Sith. Now add Obiwan the master of Soresu who Sidious would probably be paying the least amount of attention to meaning he would be focusing on strategically positioning himself to strike a killer blow when Sidious least expected it. Also you have Qui Gong who Sidious feared for other reasons particularly because he was not restrained by the limits the Jedi put on others because he simply didn't care about obeying their rules or at least the ones he found useless. Finally you have to take into account that both Qui Gong and Dooku would have both sensed Anakin's strong connection to the Dark Side and encouraged him to develop and master it while balancing things out with the Light. What they would not have done was discourage him and teach him nothing like Obi Wan and the Jedi Order did to Anakin essentially dooming him to fall to the Dark Side. With this training, his force potential and having been taught light saber combat by Dooku alone there is a good chance he would have been able to overwhelm Sidious in lightsaber combat or just with the force by the time of ROS.

I feel like if Dooku trained Anakin, they would leave the order and join the Sith but then leave the Sith and create a new "rule of 2" thing but with trained forced users instead. Sorta like "The Force Order" or something, where they make sure there's no one like Jedi or Sith to corrupt the force again and then just dip until that's needed again.

Dooku even saw Kenobi as a grandson of sorts and tried several times to convince Palpatine that he would make a better apprentice than Anakin and failing that at least allow him to live. Loved the line in the Clone Wars when Dooku calls Kenobi a worthy adversary, definitely proud that Qui Gon trained such a powerful and clever Jedi

Dooku wasn’t really a Sith even though he was named with the Sith Moniker Darth Tyranus. He clearly wanted to create something different then what the Jedi had become and what the Sith were. He was playing both sides against the middle in an effort to dismantle both Sith and Jedi and rise up from the Ashes with his new creation that was more of a Grey Jedi theology.

Imagine if Qui-Gon survived the Battle with Darth Maul and continue on with the Jedi Order. This would result in Dooku mostly like not turning to Sidious. Who would be Sidious's Stand-In apprentice to lead the droids and Separatist during the Clone Wars until Sidious fully had Anakin under his Wing. What if Maul really did die after Obi-Wan defeated him! With Dooku or Maul, maybe Savage Oppress could be trained by Sidious to fight Yoda and start the Clone Wars!

Dooku was always the " Odd Sith Out " , the " Phony " Sith . Seemed to have his Own Agenda despite being Sidious' faithful Apprentice . Never displayed the Orange/Yellow Eyes and , although sinister , never really seemed as Intrinsically Evil as Maul or Oppress let alone Sidious .

My guess would be that palpatine put alot of his force energy in influence so he could move people around like pawns. A technique that obi wan eventually picked up in “a new hope” which is probably why force influence skills werent seen in the prequels. Dookus need for revenge was palpatines “in” to turn him into sith.

But we did. Qui Gon attempted but failed to use them on Watto in Episode 1. In Episode 2, Obi Wan successfully used them on the guy selling deathsticks.

I felt bad for Duku, because he was played and twisted by Palpatine. He wanted revenge, this is a path to the dark side, and then Palkpatine used that to twist Duku's mind. Palpatine being the bbet at using mind tricks to bend his will around whoever. Anakin fell the same way to Paltatine with the false promise of power.

As it turned out, Dooku came so tantalisingly close to exacting revenge as we saw in the comic series. After Sidious captured Maul following Lawless (SWCW Episode) being part of his plan to root out mother Talzin. Maul was helpless and restrained - he would have been easy prey for Dooku had Sidious allowed it Talk about frustration! 😠✊

I'd like to know what Dooku's ultimate plan was. Unless I'm mistaken, the Sith's official intent was to have Dooku switch sides and blame the atrocities of the CIS on Grevious, with Order 66 happening somewhere along the line and then ushering in a new era of peace and prosperity. Officially. There's no way Dooku actually believed that though. He must have had a plan to destroy Sidious along with the Jedi. Unfortunately for him, he was always a step behind. I'd like to see something like this explored on screen.

Normally I don't mind it when these videos go on for twice as long as they need to, but for some reason, I felt like this one became more needlessly confusing the longer it dragged on. It was almost talking in circles by the end. Instead of "Dooku disillusioned with Jedi and republic > Qui Gon dies > Dooku wants revenge and studies dark side to gain what he needs to exact this revenge and realizes that the sith might actually have a more noble goal > meets with Palpatine to discuss his thoughts and admits that perhaps he could join the sith and accept the loss of Qui Gon if it meant restructuring the galaxy in a better way > Palpatine reveals himself as Sidious", ..... This video was instead more like "Dooku was not happy with Jedi and Republic > he loved his Padawan Qui Gon very much and respected him and by the way he also respected Obi Wan by extension and wanted to save him from order 66 > anyway there was a titular event that made Dooku ultimately fall to the dark side > remember how disillusioned Dooku was with the Republic and the Jedi, and how many times he wanted to improve the order but was denied for political reasons > anyway the titular event which finally pushed Dooku over the edge was the death of his former Padawan, Qui Gon > Dooku felt he needed revenge for Qui Gons death, but he still felt he could do it as a Jedi Master > he goes to tell Palpatine his thoughts > he tells Palpatine that he is disillusioned with the order > Dooku is really upset about the loss of Qui Gon > so Dooku studies dark side texts to get what he needs to hunt down and destroy the sith master > the Jedi believed Maul was the sith master and had already been slain by obi wan, but Dooku knew they were wrong > so anyway Dooku is telling all this to Palpatine, who Dooku believed to be a non- corrupt politician who could change things for the better > oh yeah so back to those dark side texts Dooku was studying, remember how he initially wanted to do this as a Jedi Master? > Dooku was disillusioned with the Jedi by this point, so as he read the dark side texts, he realized that maybe the sith were actually right > Palpatine is intrigued at all of this > oh hey, remember back when Plageus told Palpatine that Dooku might one day make a great Sith if he weren't bound to the Jedi? > Yeah so anyway, Dooku decided that the entire Jedi and Republic might need to be restructured > maybe it was the grand plan of the sith all along to do this > he really wanted revenge for the death of Qui Gon, and studied dark side texts to get there, deciding that he could accept Qui Gon's death if it meant that the sith were actually right > Palpatine is still listening, intrigued > Dooku decided to change his mind, as he once believed that he could study the dark side scrolls, and hunt down the sith master in the shadows, catching him off guard and defeating him in single combat > Dooku believed that the sith were not the simple warriors of old, but that now they were much deeper into political influence and working from the shadows, making them more dangerous > Dooku believed that if he dug deep into Tatooine, he could find this sith Lord > Dooku had great influence as a Jedi, but not as much as he needed > maybe the ultimate plan of the Sith is to restructure the galaxy > Dooku admits that he might be willing to accept the death of Qui Gon and join the sith if it means a better future for the galaxy > Palpatine chooses to reveal himself as Sidious to the Count". But Qui-Gon's death being Dooku's motivation doesn't make sense. TCW revealed that Sifo Dias was assassinated by Dooku when Dias went on a mission at Valorum's request. During the battle of Naboo, Valorum was already voted out his position
