GAME DETAILS:
Doom (stylized as DOOM and originally known as Doom 4) is a first-person shooter video game developed by id Software and published by Bethesda Softworks. The game is a reboot of the Doom series and is the first major installment in the series since the release of Doom 3 in 2004. Doom was released worldwide on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on May 13, 2016.
Doom's single-player mode was described as having "badass demons, big effing guns, and moving really fast" as key principles, according to id Software executive producer Marty Stratton. The game will feature a large arsenal of weapons, which can be collected and freely switched by players throughout the game. Weapons such as the super shotgun and BFG 9000 will return. Additionally, melee weapons such as the chainsaw, which can cut enemies in half, are also featured. Many enemies from the original games like the Revenant, Mancubus, and Cyberdemon return as well, some redesigned. As the combat system of the game puts emphasis on momentum and speed, the game allows players to perform movements like a double-jump. A combat system known as "push forward combat" is featured, which discourages players from taking cover behind obstacles or resting to regain health. Players instead collect health and armour pick-ups scattered throughout levels, or kill enemies to regain health. A new mechanic introduced in Doom is the melee execution system, similar to that of the popular PWAD Brutal Doom. When enough damage has been dealt to an enemy, the game will highlight it, and allow the player to perform a melee takedown. id Software stated that Doom's campaign will be more than 13 hours long and the "Ultra-Nightmare" difficulty level will have permadeath.
SETTING:
As in previous games, Doom begins on a Union Aerospace Corporation (UAC) research facility on Mars. However, research into Hell has advanced considerably compared to other games. Under the guidance of facility director Samuel Hayden, who transferred his consciousness into an android shell after being diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer, the UAC has been able to channel the energy from Hell into a renewable power source called Argent energy, solving an energy crisis on Earth. This was achieved through the construction of an Argent Tower, which not only harnesses the energy but also serves as a portal directly to Hell. Hayden has already used the portal to perform expeditions into Hell, and capture and perform research on demons.

I was gonna ask why not do Ultra-Nightmare mode? But it's actually just the same as regular nightmare mode. But limited saves. and you die game is erased... Not ideal for a walkthrough type let's play... But keep up the great work. this is my third time watching this series of yours Patolog. I am so pumped for DOOM Eternal. GOD DAMN... finally I found someone who plays this competently and not like Polygon, granted the people I found played much better than Polygon as well but, there still were some problems. Movement is life, shoot for the kill and all that. Beyond that, you're even reading the data entries at the end, even better! Hopefully everything keeps up like this to the end...

I know this was quite a while ago now, but it would have been cool if you showed the different options for upgrades for a second or two before picking the one you wanted.

+Spectator Hello:) I will play mostly FPS games on this channel, but you can expect other genres as well. Stealth games (Dishonored 2 shortly after the release or Splinter Cell series for example), action RPGs (Deus Ex: Human Revolution, possibly Mankind Divided if it turns out to be good) or maybe even RTS (Starcraft 2 trilogy.)

gotta love the intro doomguy wakes up and is pissed off smashes the first possessed on the table and grabs his suit that he doesn't really need Hyden gives the usual at this point "so we can help each other" doomguy pushes the screen away in agressive manner then in elevator hayden says "for betterment of mankind" and doomguy looks at a dead scientist hayden says "i assure you" and you can tell just by the way doomguy smashes the panel in the elevator he's pissed off and would rip hayden to pieces right there and then too bad they ditched this narrative for eternal and replaced pissed off doom guy with impatient and child-like one

Well, technically it should be possible with the proper tactics I guess. But it would be extremely difficult and it would require a lot of patience and luck.

patologTV i saw the the walkthrough, where the guy took only once 2% armor damage on the 3rd level and the whole game was completed without any damage except this, and also all collectibles were collected, but his videos sometimes can be quite... boring, but yours gameplaydoesn't make me want to sleep. +TheInfiernomac Well, only difference compared to Nightmare is that when you die, you are done and have to restart the game. That would make no difference for me, because i always back up save files when im making walkthroughs.
