When you run the engine from the command line you can put -nomonsters at the end to disable monsters. If you don't like the command line you could do the same with a windows shortcut

whats the mod you use to make everything sound better/look better?

sounds are doom_sound_bulb.wad, smooth animations are perk_enhanced.pk3
