You start with an unmodded combat shotgun, and pick up your arsenal along the way. Your arsenal resets after each level.

I think they are missing the point of classic mode no? Reclaimed earth you basically got all your weapons outside the first building lol it’s a shame they didn’t hold off on giving weapons to you until you progress at certain points in the map

I understand your point, but keep in mind that the weapons don't have weapon mods attached to them until you find them separately, and that there's zero combo potential with the starting arsenal. You still need some dps, since you are fighting Tyrants and Barons in the first arena. TAG2 is still fully kitted slayer content, even if it's on the easier side. Some of the encounters are slightly rebalanced to better match the arsenal progression as well.
