I really thought that second run was gonna go all the way! Here's where each map is referenced in this map: 0:10 - MAP32 1:16 - MAP21 5:27 - MAP27 15:21 - MAP20 27:42 - MAP24 36:36 - MAP16 40:09 - MAP23 50:54 - MAP19 1:16:00 - MAP25 1:22:43 - MAP28 1:25:11 - MAP18 1:30:49 - MAP29 1:34:37 - MAP27 1:46:59 - MAP22 2:00:00 - MAP17 This map was a lot more challenging to make than MAP32 was because it was tricky at times to figure out where the different parts of each map should fit together. I ended up having to do a lot more manipulation of orientation and dimensions. This is also the level where Cybermancubi originally made their debut in terms of development, as they were originally just used as the 8 final gatekeepers to kill for the last battle, but I knew I was going to go back and put them in earlier levels after that. I even ended up splitting them into two separate entities - the ones you see everywhere else in the megawad are the primary version, but the ones who are on the marble blocks at the end are a cloned version that trigger the exit opening up after they've been killed (otherwise, if you left any of the cybermancs alive elsewhere in the level, you'd be softlocked). Now to MAP30!

Interesting! I also noticed that the green armors in the very first room to the left used to be mega-armors. When creating the intro I accidentally used an old file for GZDoom and thought 'huh...'. Seems like the map's difficulty really got buffed then!

Took me two days to watch this, but damn what a watch! I love this concept of "Last Hurrah" in a wad, and the music is so good as well. Onto map 30 !

I would like to recommend doing this huge maps with saves and loads would be ok and i would not count this as cheesing it at all. Great job!

Wow that was incredible that you were able to single-segment that mostly blind - outstanding performance. Also very entertaining 😁 thanks Vytaan! Also to answer your question to us - yes, I really love to see the blind parts as you're playing through each section and trying to work out what strategy to use. Please keep doing that! If people don't like it, well they can always use the chapter markers to skip what they want to see.

Thanks! I'm glad I was able to show pretty much everything blind, this map went WAY better than MAP32. Though it's also somewhat lucky, becuase if I died earlier in that second long run (that made it to the final fight), I would've swapped to a practiced run 100% to not run out of time😅

@@Vytaan I was thinking about that too - if it looks like you might need to do a practice run, why don't you create a save before going into a new fight? It doesn't spoil a single segment run if you save, only if you load/rewind 😄 But it also gives you a place to go back to if you need to practice a section, especially if everyone has already seen the first few fights you don't need to "prove" you can do it every time. Then just show the full practiced run after that or something. If you think people wouldn't wanna see it, you could publish the practiced run separately and just announce in the title which one is which 🤷‍♂

Why don't you save after a big fight? For me, blind is a much more important aspect than single-segment. Experiencing a fight for the first time with you where you have no idea what's coming or where to run just hits different 😉

I like the added stakes of 'will I be able to beat it in a single segment?' :D Achieving that with a big and difficult map like this is especially satisfying. And I try to edit the video in such a way that you don't have to watch things twice - except for the fight where I died obviously, plus the very early attempts - I leave those in to show the learning process.

@Vytaan yes that's perfect, but when you say "I may have to do this as a practice run instead if I die again" Id much rather you just reload :) You can always do a practiced run after you beat it blind. Thanks for the awesome videos!

Oh boy this is indeed one of the biggest, longest and craziest Doom maps I ever saw. It is very cool, I like the design of the arenas. But this is a hard one. I think it is even crazier than the Map 12 or 13 of Violetshift. The first Invuln is an epic troll. It really hurts that in the first solid run, you died in a stupid way, because you fall in the lava which is an instant death, which is very rude but okay. That was very painful especially because you were on a roll there :) When I would be in that situation I probably would just stop playing. I don't have so much patience like you do. I make a little break now, but later I will continue the video :) So it is time for the second half of the video. I just noticed but the exit in the beginning of Map 32 and Map 33 says "Skill Issue" right? It is a cool idea but it also is kinda insulting for people that are not so good in those kinds of games. Oh well. The second epic fail Invuln was interesting too. And god damn it so close in the Solid Run 2. It was the last area. Oh the pain of that death again :( And like we know, third time is the charm but not in this map. Even the third epic fail Invuln did not give you an actual one. But yeah as you said, the final secret with the secret message is very nice. That warms the heart :) That was a pretty good run even though it was a long one but I don't mind :) And what did you say in the end? You have a second channel too? Can I get the link? I would like to subscribe there too. Just one more map to go. From the time I see, it is not so bad. I will watch that tomorrow :)
