If I were a map maker I'd make sure the automap is one of the first things you get. Hell if you want the secrets to stay secret you can mark parts of the map to be invisible to the automap as well.

It's ironic that both "The Pain Labs" and "Inferno of Blood" have the computer area map as the last secret. But man, this map puts you through a series of trials to get the BFG. This playthrough has been really helpful since I sometimes get stuck on this map and barely make it out alive.

I have the bfg edition on xbox and played this on ultra violence as well. This level was the bane of my existence for like 5 days because I did save but I saved right as I got cornered and hit by a hell knight so every time i loaded up, i had to pray I didn't get hit again because my health was so low. I eventually beat it. I was so happy

Thus and the next map are my favorites due to the openness and the difficalty. The last one doesn't get up there due to feeling small and tight, where this one and the one after feels big and looks a lot more interesting, and you need to use mostly all weapons to pass it. I usually don't use the plasma or BFG or chaincun in most levels and usually suck with the 2 shotguns where as these two maps I've always swapped around

Despite the very tough battles and needing to use the BFG the moment you grab it, I'd say this one is easier than Vivisection. You have more room to move and more ammo, though it needs to be used wisely. Both this and map 7 also have my favorite aesthetics in the wad.

valiant seems much more action-packed, new enemies,new super chaingun and slaughter-like maps. that's why no rest for the living seems boring to some people. personally, i like some big maps in this episode, feels almost plutonia-like difficulty in some maps, which i like. also, doom eternal enemy tier list when, decino?

I don't mind the gameplay of it, it's mostly fine aside from the Vivisection shitshow. What I don't like is how bland it looks. I've been spoiled by Sunlust, Eviternity, Valiant and Ancient Aliens. The minimum I tolerate is Memento Mori 2.

Doom on a controller is honestly really easy, it's technically a top down shooter so twin stick actually works pretty well. Beaten all of this the same way you have on a controller, keyboards clearly better tho lmao

I first played it in the BFG Edition of DooM 3 on the PS3 with a controller. I never felt that I have full control of what I'm doing. It works but mouse and keys are far superior. 😊

I’ve played every doom game one Xbox and using the controller isn’t even that bad because I’m used to it, the only real issue is that swapping weapons is harder since you have to scroll through them instead of just pressing a key.

Also what annoys me the most is how slow the camera is to turn around. After I played it on PC I immediately never want to go back.

Funny. Few years ago I've started to create a campaign for Heroes of Might and Magic 3: Shadow of Death. It was centered around a necromancer, who is actually a good guy. And I didn't came up with a better name for him than Keith Archwell. Damn shame that I stopped my work on it. At least, I still posess 0.2 version of it, which is playable (although only available in russian language). Two scenarios with rare feature - you can carry troops between them. And these troops may contain a large stock of skeleton warriors among them. Damn shame again, but they only have swords, despite Might and Magic universe is actually a sci-fi disguised as fantasy. Where is a logic of this post? It is around 5:00.
