Going purely on mass, according to doomwiki, Doomguy is 100 mass (units) and Pinkies are 400 mass. Let's say a typical marine is 80kg, so a Pinky must be about 320kg.

I think 1:1 is a sufficient fit. Doomguy is generally considered to be 6' (182cm) tall, so with all his equipment and excellent physical condition, 100kg (220lb) is perfectly acceptable. 400kg (880lb) Pinkie would be just slightly under half the weight of a full-size bull. Seems pretty suitable. Of course, a few monsters wreck this theory, but too bad.

Yeah, I was thinking about 300-350kg. About 4x the weight of a person feels about right. Of course, the important question: how much does a mancubus weigh? I reckon when you factor in the sheer size of him and his cybernetic bits he'd be well over a tonne. 1,400kg, maybe?

@@inventiveusername5191 Mancs are harder to pinpoint. They have the same in-code mass as Arachnos, Barons and Cybers, which doesn't make as much sense as the Pinky's more proportional mass. At the same time, those cannon forearms can't be light. As a starting point I'd argue Mancs are around 2x to 2.5x as heavy as Pinkies because while they're fat, they'd be less dense, as fat is less dense than muscle and Pinkies are _buff._

My theory for why everything is so large is that Doomguy fell asleep in a beach chair, and that he's dreaming about the demons coming for the sand castle he built earlier, and using dream logic Doomguy and the demons shrank to not damage the sand castle too much. Doomguy's probably gonna wake up, be relieves the demons didn't actually take his sand castle, but then be distraught cus now he's sunburnt.

I'm reminded of old ads you'd see in comic books, where a jock comes to the beach and kicks sand on the 97-pound weakling. Except here, the jocks are demons, and each of Doomguy's biceps weighs 97 pounds.

Good timing decino, today I booked a 1 week vacation in a small town by the Baltic Sea and I'm really looking forward to lay down on a beach :D This only hyped me even more hahaha Freelook in Doom is so funny, but it's even more funny in Duke Nukem3D, because in DN3D it was meant to be since the beginning. I don't think ID Software even thought somebody would enable such thing in Doom haha Flat Caco ftw! That rope climbing was amazing :D :D very realistic

Honestly Decino, accounting for the size and base lore of the Pinky demon, it's upper body to leg width ratio, it's huge mouth supported on a mainly upper body frame, basically a walking crusher that endlessly feeds. I would estimate it to be somewhere around 340-380lbs. Depending on leanness, muscle mass/fat, tissue + cardiovascular output. The little arms add an extra maybe 30-40lb's (15/20lb each). Seems to stand almost at the same height if not slightly taller than Doomguy due to the hunched digitigrade stance. It's got the legs and torso of a body builder (0% body fat) with it's entire dedicated anatomy towards the top center; the head supporting comedically yet deadly sized jowls. It's probably got the bite force of a small hippopotamus.

Hey I crunched some numbers on the Pinky weight. Tl;dr: it's impossible to calculate. In the game data the player has a mass of 100, and the Pinky a mass of 400. We can thus say that the Pinky weighs exactly 4x the amount of the player. According to some U.S. Navy SEAL guides, the average sized person should weigh around 85kg (187lbs). Do this times 4 and you get 340kg. However, the mass of the player stays the same no matter what ammo and weapons he carries. I used the weights of some common weapons or weapons that fit the game the most: Chainsaw - Calculated average weight of 13 different models online - 4,3kg Pistol - Beretta 92: 0,95kg Shotgun - Remington 870: 3,4kg Super Shotgun - Stoeger Coach Gun: 2,95kg Chaingun - Tippmann Arms Gatling Gun (only existing 9mm rotating barrel weapon, since it shares ammo with the pistol): 12,5kg (approximation without it's mount) Rocket Laucher - Panzerfaust 3: 9kg (unloaded weight) Plasma gun - Complete guess, based on it being kind of the same size as the chaingun: 12,5kg BFG9000 - Complete guess, based on it being kind of twice the size of the plasma rifle: 25kg Add to this a full ammo loadout: 400 rounds of 9mm ammo (3,2kg), 100 rounds of 12 Gauge ammo (3kg), 100 Panzerfaust 3 rockets (390kg) and 30 energy cells worth 20 cell charges (based on the weight of a bicycle battery: 90kg) All guns and ammo combined: 556,8kg Marine + guns and ammo: 556,8kg + 85kg = 641,8kg If this is the real mass, then a Pinky would weigh 2567,2kg So we can safely assume that the Pinky weighs somewhere between 340kg and 2567,2kg. The game manual describes the Pinky as 'a shaved gorilla', which grow up to 227kg in size so 340kg would be the safer guess I think.
