Doom Slayer Chronicles is currently one of the best looking mappacks that you might get and play with any other mod. It is compatible with such mods like Brutal Doom, Project Brutality, Guncaster and tons of other mods, probably it only depends on you. The *ATMOSPHERE* in this mappack is great - that feeling when you enter the Arena is something hard to describe. So, here it is - a Final Battle of this Megawad against the forces composed of Demons and former humans. As expected, prepare for the most difficult journey against tons of them. The difficulty spike has risen, no more easy battles with few monsters in vast open spaces. This time, there are a lot more of them with a little place to hide - expect a great challenge. The challenge is not only for your skills, but also for your PC and GZDoom that simply can't handle this. The beginning of this stage looks innocent but don't be so easily deceived - these are just Shores Of Hell. First waves, no problem for a proper Doom Slayer, but what happens later on UAC Mars Facility is something hard to describe. You have to survive a HUGE wave of endless horde of Demons that is after you without mercy. To make it a little more clear, imagine an Icon Of Sin multiplied by 10. If you SURVIVE this, prepare for the last final battle in the Hell itself. You became a worthy foe for them, don't prove them wrong... I love that these can be combined and it's impressive work all around. I kinda wish there was some big boss for the last wave, but considering this game wasn't really built around boss battles, I understand that they didn't include one.

@@motorcycleman115 They can't be despawned with in game settings as long as I'm aware. Anyhow you'll probably have to set blood/flying limbs off to reduce CPU load (I think you can actually touch those). You can always reduce particle amount and the such

Try not running it with pb. If you set blood and particles off it's close to vanilla doom. If vanilla doesn't run properly just forget about it, if it does you can keep the hope

At the eyes section at 9:00 I always finished of the waves of monsters first and only then I shot the whack-a-mole eyes. Then, instead of the demonic sinkhole disappearing and the elevator activating, I get teleported into a cave with lava where I have to fend of a few waves of monsters. This area also has a lore rune. After I finished there I get teleported back to the same area, but each time the number of eyes I have to shoot is increased by 2 and the monster spawns become harder. I wonder why it happened, I guess I indeed have to destroy the eyes first and only then finish off the rest of the monsters. I have done the eyes-cave-eyes-cave... cycles like 7 or 8 times, then I got really pissed off, it was hell. Maybe it is an intended feature if someone just wants to boost up the kill numbers for the rank bonuses?

Turns out I was right, killed the eyes 1st and then finished of the rest of the monsters, the elevator got unlocked then.

You must kill all eyes when current wave not complete. Kill all eyes and not kill all monsters in wave. If you kill all monsters in first and after this you kill eyes - you again and again back in this hell area.

At 10:00 in that arena I'm completely stuck. It keeps bringing me back and forth between two different places will not stop going in a circle and all the demons keep doubling in the amount. How do I get past this level? I've fought over 1000's of demons now and I'm losing my mind. How TF do I get past this?

Same thing happened to me. About 7000 dead demons later I said fuck it and noclipped up the elevator. My enjoyment for this mod was completely gone after that and I just used the kill command to progress through the rest of the mod. Was great up until that point.

8/10 Pros: - ATMOSPHERE of horror, dark and gritty places. Collosseum and final arena are incredible. - Soundtrack, credits is my favourite - Idea, astonishing environment. These vast open spaces are awesome - Lots of surprises, when I thought that I'm safe, nope - Works well with multiple mods - Interesting concept with these perks, but in my opinion it would be good to implement some passive advantages like natural armor or something Cons: - Broken spawn points, had few locks with monsters outside a playable area, and sometimes. Also applies to the ammo spawns, during big battles like that one 5 minute survival attempt, ammo runs out quickly. - Too many similar waves that are repeating - Performance spikes, dunno why it sometimes randomly drops to 1FPS or drops suddenly.

DSC+PB is great, but the 'moaning/screaming' signaling a new round, as well as the 'breathing through your hand' effects need to be lowered, like, 50% or something, jesus. I actually got a migrain after about a hour of that shit.
