Ds3 is extremely locked: you don't have access to higher materials (or good enough weapons) until some precise moments in the run. Like, you can't have more than +4 weapon until you beat the abyss watchers, or a +6 (maybe +7?) until you beat dancer. Not to mention some boss having gimmicks, like yhorm or greatwood. Oh, and buffs are kinda weak and some cancel each other out iirc.

If i remember correctly, in the second rat fight, the one with the giant dog thing, you can soul appease the minions, then use the hex that explodes bodies to 1 shot the boss. Also, soul appease makes the first rat fight a joke cause it one shots the mini rats. Idk about the boss, but you cleared it easily enough. That being said, having enough mental fortitude to even attempt this challenge is impressive. Keep up the amazing work Doom :)

I don't know why, but DS2 is the most nostalgic DS for me (and the only DS I didn't finish lol). No matter how many problems this game has compared to the other Dark Souls, I think it's because of the atmosphere of Majula and how special it was for me when I played this game in 2014-2015. Life has changed so much since then. A great game and an amazing video, have a nice Christmas, my friend.

Love to watch these videos! I have a question about the crit gloves(?). Why don't you have a modifier that always crits once you have these? I mean it is technically possible, just needs som crazy rng. I ask because you are allowed to spawn in anything and level up to 99 without grinding as long as you can get it at that point in the game. Why does not the same apply to the crit item? Is it hard to have modded like that?

Actually modding it to be 100% crit chance did seem to be problematic, but it is very easy to just give a 1.5x multiplier to our weapons essentially mimicking it. The reason we didn't is just because Lemon asked us not to, I guess the reasoning behind his decision was because it would be more interesting to see what we came up with if we didn't rely on crits?

I speak from experience - it would be fairly easy to one- or two-shot each invader. But only if you count an entire backstab as one hit. (Could also do ripostes, but that's also depending on parries/guardbreaks being discounted.) The basic Dagger is very much OP.

both of those would count as a single hit, the invaders being excluded was mostly because theres like 9 gijillion of them, and does lemon include the not invaders invaders, like the dragon man near ancient dragon, and would we need to farm for the chance ones like the one in belfrey sol. Lemon made it a nice round 100 targets by taking the invaders (and a few minibosses) out
