Loved this collection. I still have my it/rainbow bag and coin purse in the light ivory color which is now yellow ( even though it has been in a dust bag for years) I’m searching for a safe way to clean it for my teen daughters to use.

i used to love dooney alot, i remember i had the florentine satchel ugh, it was a fabulous bag, and the leather was just soooo soft and suple, it was so good, after many years it still smelled like it, until I sold it.

I knew I had one of these pieces that I had never carried. And it’s in my dresser drawer, just where I put it. Colored zipper, blue interior. Wristlet. I remember not liking anything but the wristlet.

Loved this video, you are so entertaining😅as for the ? About the keys, those pouches were originally designed to keep coins and the keys stayed on the outside. In the late 80s/early 90s (I’m aging myself here🫢) everyone and their mother would use coin pouches attached to their keys in some fashion. In our defense we really did use a lot of coins back then! Another thing for the nasty cigarette smell, I didn’t find the freezer or direct sunlight for days to be effective. What did work was soaking paper towels in Febreeze, squishing them inside and zipping it up. I would re-wet the paper towels w Febreeze each day and do it for a few days. Then, I take those little absorbing packets and put in there. That works 99% of the time, I also store fabric softener sheets in my backs with packets and it doesn’t leave an overwhelming smell, just fresh. Sooo excited you got your Hermes! The lindy, I hope you get one before I do because I’d love your take on the Lindy. I’ve been eyeing the mini Lindy, but it sure is pricey.

Haha, thank you!! And that's true- I guess it could be used like an LV Cles. I'll give that a shot for getting rid of the smoke smell too. I'm really excited about my Hermes unboxing- this is the perfect bag! I'm really considering a Lindy next, especially in the Swift leather- I think that would be a gorgeous combo.

Hi Caleb, I did not have anything from this collection. I had 2 Dooneys from the early 90s, a satchel and a bucket bag. I kept them for years and then donated them during a purge. I have 2 hobos from the 2010s that I really like. They are so user friendly. I do have a tiny all weather crossbody from the early 90s. I don’t use it because it’s so tiny. It’s cute though so I’ve kept it. The new dooneys are really pretty but they seem heavy. Thanks for sharing your colorful collection ❤

Hey Janet! The old AWL Dooney's were gorgeous, and they've aged so well! I want to add one or two to my collection. Also, the pieces from the 2010's were great too! The new dooneys do seem really heavy. I wish D&B would get back to a good place, they seem rather forgotten about, but I've always like them.

This was so much fun to watch ! I love Dooney & Bourke. The brand is the one thing in fashion my mother and I agree on lol. Currently researching how to find specific details on vintage collections. Dooney unfortunately does not have a hub to find archives and vintage collections, but no worries because I'll be personally gathering information to create a personal hand booklet for a point of reference. (A hobby for my mom and I to work on together).

Thank you! And I love the idea of a booklet, that's really cool! If you aren't on the Facebook groups- a few of them have vintage catalogs scanned with all the individual styles available, colors, leather, dimensions- it's an amazing resource. Or, Dooney's website works pretty well on the WaybackMachine- so you can look at some of the older 2000's/2010's collections on there too.

I have the hearts collection! I have the keychain, coin purse and barrel purse! I kept my keys on the key chain but the ring hook from the coin purse i hooked inside to the purse with the bungee cord clip inside the purse. Super great when I would pay for stuff. Makes me want to use it again because I loved that rainbow zipper too. Their all fogged up though because I loved that set so much!

Love your collection! I recently bought a handheld hobo shape of the denim collection but it’s not coated. It was brand new, but vintage from a lady on Mercari who buys from department store warehouses. It has the beautiful Vachetta leather trim, and was brand new. She said it’s from the 90s.💕

To remove yellowing you can try to use creme developer 20 volume. I know it works great on getting the yellow out of white sneakers.

You can put the keys in the pouch to protect your bag from getting scratched. It may be useful now that you have moved into Hermes! If you decide to upgrade the SLG which has the wrong edgecoat, I would wait until you have the new correct one before selling the old one! Thank you for the video.

Hello!! I thrift in a third world country where we get a lot of US thrift shop leftovers from the 90's early 2000's. We keep getting a lot of Dooney but I don't know which ones are rare and not cause I see on Poshmark they don't sell for much. I just bought a large bright cream tote with the blue interior on eBay. It was only used once and it’s perfect condition got it for $70. Very hard to find and it’s not yellow lol I think most of them are so torn up because they were aimed at teens and I don’t think many were storing them well. I know as a teen in 2003, I didn’t give a damn lol The seller I got it from kept it in a dust bag. I never really liked the black. I know there was a pink, but I saw and “orange” one on eBay and I’m really wondering if it was cream and it’s just horribly discolored lol I don’t remember orange.
