Nice job TJ, when working for Warwick district council years ago we regularly had to replace front door jambs (usually after the police had let themselves in with the big key) we did not go to all the trouble of replacing the whole jamb and a splice repair was usually good enough, and we did a nice job, you did well to sort that out in 3 hours usually took half a day or so to complete and a lick of primer
