Unless it was changed from the first game, you can kick a door down without entering if you have the correct angle. This can be useful because it allows your operator to bring his gun back up before entering the sight line of any potential threats in the room. Anyway, loving the videos!

1. The shift right click "look" command will stay until the operator commits to any action besides moving. 2. Operators can NOT fire while crouched, at least not yet. It's a function to hunker down behind cover as of yet. 3. If you want your guys to stack properly, make sure to run them along the wall first rather than just pushing them through the door. 4. To use a charge and then bang a room, you gotta use a go code for the movement. Whoever is deploying the device doesn't need one, just hit "initiate" when he starts to move so he's not alone. 1-4 can also be used for go codes, by the way.
@jakesomethingorother46763 жыл бұрын
I should also add that the shift look command is best used JUST beyond a doorway/corner and not before or too far that way your operator keeps his rifle trained at the same point where he's exposed. Giving a final, basic "look" command is a good way to cancel out shift "looks," I forgot to mention that.
@ControlledPairsGaming3 жыл бұрын
Solid feedback. Some of that is new to me. Can anyone employ the flashbang after the breach or just the guy initiating the breach?
@jakesomethingorother46763 жыл бұрын
@@ControlledPairsGaming I thought I read something somewhere saying you could do things like that, but it's not anywhere within the game tutorials, and I certainly haven't found a way to do it without go codes. Unless you really need speed (which, I suppose you always do, but...) Letting the breacher handle that is your best bet anyway, because that only leaves one man who needs a buddy to cover the door rather than two, allowing the rest of the stack on either side of the door to maintain 360 security.
@ControlledPairsGaming3 жыл бұрын
Eh, sure I've just never seen the dude holding the initiating system for a push/cutting charge action the initiator, drop the shock tube, open a banger pouch, prep the banger and employ it, in sequence IRL. Typically (maybe not always because absolutes are fallacy, but hot damn near it) banger boy and boomy boy are different humans. And yeah a third assaulter maintains security on the door as required because 5th principle of patrolling.
@jakesomethingorother46763 жыл бұрын
@@ControlledPairsGaming Doorkickers can only simulate so much, and only does what is necessary for accessibility. In game, there is no one who actually detonates the charge, and they're not timed, but rather it's the player. Mechanics-wise, the only time your men prep a grenade for breach is when going through a door, the game doesn't take into consideration you're going to detonate a charge AND toss a flash into the room. Another example, whoever opens a door wouldn't also get the grenade in, but in game it just frees up units to simply have the breacher commit both actions without much time cost. It simulates more realistic actions well without adding tedium to the game by making the player have to micro more than they already have to. As for maintaining security, you're typically limited on operators, that's really the only reason I mentioned it.

Another fascinating video! At 10:30 your team kicked in the door, the charge never went off. Not a huge change, but I think it could've provided a more safe entry. At 12:30 I feel like the game kind of did you dirty there. Having 2 operators on security, but their response was non-existent. Kind of interesting to see that the operators do not seem to fire back in case the targets are blind firing. Your room entries were beautifully executed, unfortunately CQB is just very deadly. Looking forward to the next one! EDIT: I just realised they breached with a dynamic hammer at 10:30. My bad. I thought you planned on using a breaching charge.
