Door Panel, Window Regulator and Door Glass Removal Part 1

Here is a how to on removing the door panel, window regulator, door glass and fixing the regulator plastic tabs on a 1999 Isuzu Trooper.

Thanks for sharing this great video. My daughter is really into working on her trooper and the way you explain the process and also great camera work making everything visible to those unfamiliar with this repair. We tried on our own using a couple tabs from another trooper at the junk yard. Wont do that again, their used of course but it's difficult to see the hairline cracks in the actual bracket because of the glue on them. Those lasted about 8 months and now were doing it again. I think $15-$18 on Amazon just in case anyone wants to save the potty mouth and tools finding flight lol. Again great video, You have another couple subscribers.

These are the videos that redeem KZbin as a valuable tool. I found new clips online (ebay) for @ $15.00usd. It would cost me about that to get from the local salvage yard. You've prolonged the life of my 188,000 mile Trooper - THANKS FOR POSTING VID!!!

If you buy the replacement clips on eBay, make sure you buy the *black* clips with the *brass* inserts (Utah, USA) *not the white clips* with the steel inserts (Thailand). On eBay search for "Isuzu Window Glass Channel Clip"

I have a 98 rodeo drivers window just clicks when you hit switch, all other windows work just replaced switch pack on drivers door[thought that was the issue] still hear clicking sound inside door.. WINDOW MOTOR? Thank in advance Curtis

Yea thanks! Everyone want's to sell me the whole door or the regulator w/ the motor... Found one just have have to have it shipped to me! I'm going to have to make a couple of the glass holders from scratch. No one will sell me the holders only. Last ditch effort, calling CR Lawrence... They may have them. I have a rodeo and bought a new regulator for about $45.00, is the process the same? I am not sure if it is the clips on the window that went bad, or the regulator itself The window does not go up straight and as a result the channel inside the door frame also got trashed. I have also ordered a new rubber channel for the door. Do you have a video that shows how to replace that as well? It looks straight forward but I just want to be sure.

I have broken window retainers as well; But i also have a ball pulled from the socket slider on the bottom bar of the regulator mec.... The ball is stripped out! So i'm probable going to have to replace the entire sissier frame , am i correct? Great vids's by the way!

VERY COOL!! The arm that pushes the door knob up had frozen and broke, 1995 Trooper. Although I had repaired this in a Mazda 929, I wasn't sure how to remove the door panel. Being it is my sister's truck (being in great shape) I didn't want to damage anything. With the Mazda, I had used safety wire and epoxy to secure the plastic parts together and to the push rod arm.

This just saved me about $300, which is about what it's cost me the two or three times I had my Trooper's window fixed in the past. The stock plastic tabs are a real weakness. On mine, they had been replaced by metal clips (MUCH better), but I had a different problem: the ball-and-socket joints that secure the clip bar to the actuating arms had popped loose. It was easily fixed once I got a right-sized wrench for working inside the door. Couple of hours and it's back together.
