How do u know where to move the latch?

When you close the door kneel on the side where the you can see the latch go into the strike plate. You will be able to see if the hole in the plate is too high or too low. Or in my example in the video it needed a lateral move. It’s not too hard to change the plate position. If you need an up or down move you’ll need a utility knife to cut a small part of the wood from the door frame. Hope this helps!

Simply just drill around the strike plate edge with a drill bit instead of removing the strike plate and routing out the plate. No need. Problem solved

You can twist the doorknob a few times to see if it will pop back out. Or you can take off the doorknob and push the plunger part out. There should be only 2 screws you need to remove in order to take off the doorknob. Hope this helps!
