If the leak is in the tube at the base, can the covering on the tube be removed (once the collar is removed), the bad portion cut off, and everything replaced?

How did you get string through the tiny hole at the end of the video?
@digitalcamproducer16 сағат бұрын
Are you talking about the hole at 1:30 in the video? If the bead in the connected strings is too big you might have to cut it off and melt it again to get a smaller bead that will fit. I’ve had to do that before.

Thanks for the vid. It was helpful. I think I'm going to use washers as well, and spray paint them both beforehand.

I had the chain come off.. I fed it back to the gear but without putting the plastic cap. And upon pressing the button the gear broke instantly. So you think it was due to not putting the cap on? I was gonna put it right after, my noob ass didn't assume it would be a major step.

GREAT VIDEO! I had done this once before, about 9 years ago, and remembered that I needed to do something to prevent the old latch from falling into the door.

And now the stupid battery won't come out. WTH. This is why people like me don't try to do mechanical things. I can't even run the simplest tool. It's completely jammed on both ends, nothing will come out.

Sometimes we don't think of the easiest things to fix this. First thing I though was, I have to crawl under the sink and shut the water off outside and I hate these valves that leak so easily. Cool thing is your video was the first to pop up and Thank you because my valve was so loose. It was the hot side so I would assume the heating and cooling over 24 years the valve worked it's way loose. Quarter of a turn and no leak lol.....

I just scoot the washer forward and lean it at a 45 degree angle. Then carefully remove hoses, wires and the mounting screws. Swap the pump and reassemble

Thank you for providing this video on replacing the drain pump motor. We saved hundreds of dollars and even thousands because we were ready to replace both the washer and dryer. The information on the part and tool was very useful. I am washing a load of clothes as we speak.

Thank You bcuz I was afraid of breaking the glass cover when trying to move the steel retainment! The scraping sound made it seem like it was going to damage the glass cover, but you 110% solved the oven light changing issue for me and put me at ease when having to do this again going forward... Happy Holidays🎄⛄️🧑🎄 and all the best in 2025...🎉 KCP

We found this video while researching whether or not we could replace the drain pump on our LG washer. Our machine is EXACTLY the same as the one in this video, and after watching it, we said "we can do this". We ordered the part and spring tool, thank you for the links, and reviewed the video a couple of more times. The part and tool arrived and we accomplished the repair today. The washer works great ! This video is very well done and easy to follow along. Thank you for taking the time to produce this instructional video. We knew after watching it that we could absolutely complete this job.

Found this to be an excellent video! My wife and I watched several of these, this is the best. I purchased the spring tool from amazon and the pump from an Ohio Appliance store. Similar to another comment written here, my wife and I completed the replacement in 2 hours. We took our time. I am doing laundry from the holiday as I write. Thank you so much for putting the careful time and effort into this educational and practical video. We specifically avoided the machine tipping method mentioned above.

I’m in a new home haven’t even been here a year and have had 3 or 4 issues of middle of the night false alarms. What’s worse is it triggers the whole house. New batteries two months ago and doing it AGAIN! To a point I don’t know if it’s a web somewhere or faulty wire.
