I feel like its not some sort of organization doing all this for entertainment. As we see guiding light an entity that helps us throughout the game. And curious light which was stuck in the dimensions ROOMS and when we completed it it managed to enter the hotel which explains why it became more friendly to the player as it helped it escape and now resides within the backdoors, but now we also freed it to now join in the hotel with guiding light. And in Door 60 we see a painting with both guiding light (blue) and curious light (yellow) but at the corner of the painting we see a red light. In the back doors when curious light talks to you when you die he refers the red light as a "She" I feel like that the one that giverrns the entities is the red light. When you turn on the modifiers guiding light is disabled and curious lights door is blocked by a red door. So its not some secret organizations doing this but more of a dimension your stuck in with entities And yes I am a yapper a massive one but if you made it to the end thank you for listening to my yap.

This game isn’t really about an evil organization making a maze and betting on survivors for entertainment. Us, the protagonists, are cryptid hunters. The hotel is an infamous location where several people had gone missing; naturally, we’d be interested in investigating a location that’s allegedly haunted. When we entered the hotel, we quickly discover that it was exactly the kind of cryptid goldmine we’ve been looking for; but we’ve bitten off more than we could chew. Nevertheless, we must use our wits and the many resources we are given and/or able to find to survive and, hopefully, get out alive. Guiding Light is seen as a literal guardian angel, while Curious Light in the Rooms is believed to be Lucifer as curiosity can be associated with the devil. The items we can use against the cryptids are religious in nature, specifically Christianity. All in all, it appears as though something demonic is going on here, and we’re caught in the middle.

After me and my friend finished floor 2, we wondered if Seek killed Grumble to kill us himself or to actually help us escape. We couldn't quite make out which one of these options is the right one. I can't really imagine, that Seek suddenly wants to help us escape after he tried to kill us multiple times. One argument for this theory is that he "helped" us skip multiple rooms in every chase we had, but this is really the only argument for that theory.
