I kinda get Storm's point. When this all started she and Eric were working to improve the lives of the people for the sake of the people but now they are getting sucked into a conflict/war of a foreign ruler she doesn't know and ultimately doesn't trust. Regardless of what destiny may have in mind for them, Storm has no reason to help T'Challa especially not at the risk of their lives. Erik may want to be the Wakanda savior but Storm has no ties to them and maybe should let them rock on their own....😅

Then she should have said so in front of tchalla, instead of trying to coerce her BF into turning his back on wakanda now when tchalla's trust has been placed in him and their already knee deep into their mission. That instance of her was bitchy and made me lose a bit of respect for her character in this universe tbh

@guerillla6 Really? Having genuine misgivings about a man she has no meaningful connections to outside of a handful of conversations (and saving his life) is somehow "bitchy?" Sure probably not the best time to have the conversation with Erik but given then fact that they're staring down gunfire and death to try and solve SOMEONE ELSES issue I can appreciate why she would bring it up. For what it's worth Ororo should have more to her character than the short interactions we've seen between her and Erik. The writers aren't doing her any favors and the story is stiff where she is concerned but overall my point stands-- why does Storm care about Wakanda? At this point the writers don't tell us anything from her perspective. T'Challa suspects that they have a kid in the future-- but so what? She doesn't know that and has no reason to care. She doesn't like him and doesn't want to get caught up and she is 100% justified. This story has great potential but they didn't do themselves any favors by removing Storm's agency and independence 😉

@@collegiatemisfit6071 oh am not questioning her adhesiveness towards tchalla. That has been the most consistent thing about her so far in this book. But Erik already made up his mind to follow through on this mission, with tchalla saying it wasn't an order but a request to a friend. She was the one who advocated to follow him instead of okoye, but if she did that just to try and convince him to betray his word (even if her concerns come from genuine affection and care for him) then it's still a regardless thing to do.

I love this Ultimate Universe coverage; easily my favorite comic series right now. Excited for DC absolute timeline, the more grounded version of the main universes is really interesting to me. It feels like the writers are really into it this time too. The New 52 and previous Ultimate timelines just felt contrived trying to make improved versions of the main characters, it just felt soulless. Putting these characters in the darkest corner they can be in for their origins really sets a tone of, “who are these characters really? What would they be like if the world never gave them a leg up at all?” Rather than the what if they had every opportunity to be the best they can be idea.

I like that Peter basically had a better life without having to be a superhero; and now he gets to be a superhero with a family like Wally West, and as long as they don’t time wipe his family out I can see some really dark hostage situations happening, forcing Peter to make decisions that he would never make as a single dude with and ex he pines for who has gone off to have children. It’s easy to be a white knight when you have nobody depending on you. I foresee some dark times for Ultimate Spider-Man

Im pretty sure its Stephen, but his essence is in a body that was crafted by the Maker for the sake of experimenting with magic and the astral form. This worlds "clea" is actually just strange but forced into a females body by the maker. At least that's my imagination.

The vibranium acting like a symbiote is really interesting. Could it be that that the maker has fused vibarnium with the klyntar? I would love to see symbiote Black Panther become the new normal in this universe. Straight up completely invincible symbiotes, since vibranium would counter their main weaknesses. I’m willing to bet that Peter’s suit is a red herring and will actually turn out to be something more like Ultron.

That's a cool idea. Venom is cool and everything but there's too much of it, it went too far, and I don't wanna see the Venom lore bleed over into everything. A robotic villain being Peter's suit is a much better concept.

UBP ans USM felt like they were going a bit slow at first but I'm enjoying both of them now that they're into the meat of things.
