Doppelmayr/Garaventa 30-TGD "Penkenbahn" Mayrhofen, Österreich (2015)

Die Penkenbahn ist eine Weltneuheit aus dem Hause Doppelmayr/Garaventa: Als erste ihrer Art macht sie eine Kurve. Dies ermöglicht eine neu entwickelte Seilführung in Kombination mit einer Kurvenstütze. Der Kurvensattel weist eine Länge von 50 Metern und einen Winkel von 6,5° auf.
Neben der innovativen Kurvenlösung kommt bei der Penkenbahn auch das bewährte Doppelmayr-Räumungskonzept, das Einstiegs-Konzept „Easy Boarding“ sowie WLAN in den Kabinen zum Einsatz. Die Penkenbahn ist Teil eines modernen, ganzheitlichen Verkehrskonzepts, mit dem Mayrhofen eine neue Ära der Mobilität einläutet - am Berg wie im Tal.

Bisher eindeutig das beste Seilbahnvideo, dass ich jemals gesehen habe... diese Aufnahmen die sich mit der Von dem bewegen einfach atemberaubend.. So eine epische Anlage da bleibt mir nichts übrig als vor den Erbauern der Bahn, als auch dem Video Team den Hut zu ziehen.. einfach klasse!👍👍👍

Ich find eure 3S Bahnen einfach überwältigend. Mit dieser Bahn habt ihr euch selbst übertroffen! Diese eindrucksvolle Bergkulisse, mit einer sehr coolen 3S Bahn von Doppelmayr. Da kann man nichts gegen die 1+ machen. Eure Videos setzen dem ganzen noch die Krone auf- 1+ mit Sternchen. Wer kennt auch den Winter Resort Simulator (Season 2)?

When I was much younger, maybe 7 or 8 years ago, I got a tour of the Doppelmayr facility in St-Jérôme, Québec, Canada. I distinctly remember one of the engineers was working on the turning tower in AutoCAD (or similar software). It's so cool to see it came alive on this more than beautiful lift!

Hi Doppelmayrteam ,bin ja schon seit ich klein bin an Seilbahnen orientiert und wollte nur sagen das ich es toll finde dass ihr Videos macht und hochladet ,deswegen fahre ich mit meiner Mum in 5 Tagen nach Mayrhofen zur Penkenbahn ,da wahr ich schon einmal, die Seilbahn ist im sehr guten zustand obwohl sie schon 7 Jahre alt ist. Sind die Seilschuhe bei der Kurvenstütze nach innen geneigt, oder wie geht das, dass die gondeln mit voller Fahrgeschwindigkeit die Kurve bewältigen können? Ist es auch wirklich nötig, dass bei der letzten Stütze vor der Bergstation, so grosse Seilschuhe montiert sein müssen?Ansonsten geil, dass alles in den Mayrhofnerfarben gelb gebaut ist (Seilscheiben). Hi Legus! Schön, dass dir die Bahn gefällt! Die Seilschuhe und Rollen auf der Kurvenstütze sind schräg gestellt, damit die Kabinen weich um die Kurve kommen. Warum die Stütze vor der Bergstation bzw. ihre Seilschuhe so lang sein müssen, kann ich dir leider nicht beantworten. Das Einstiegssystem ist übrigens das gemeinsam mit SkiData entwickelte EasyBoarding System.

+Das KillerKaninchen Hallo KillerKaninchen! Das sind Hinweispfeile für die Luftfahrt - also hier vor allem Hubschrauber, Paragleiter und Drachenflieger. Die Pfeile zeigen, in welcher Richtung Hindernisse von der Stütze ausgehen und sind so vom Luftfahrtamt vorgeschrieben.

Hello Doppelmayr :) great job, especially love TGD's. Personal opinion: you should really reconsider design update for the cabins, maybe reconsider another manufacturer rather then CWA. While to be honest if someone asks me which manufacturer I want for a cable car system I would say always Doppelmayr, but when it comes to cabins Pininfarina's "Harmony" Cabins for Leitner are lot better and the most beautiful ones when it comes to TGD cabins. Do not let Leitner have better cabins even in design aspects :D Just my humble opinion.

Hi Siachoquero! Thanks for your comment. Of course the CWA guys are constantly working on design and functionality updates on the cabins - design is always a matter of taste. But I must admit that the "Harmony" cabin is good-looking ;-)

I am not a fan of 8-MGD especially beause of their same design and because of their Mast distance limitations, that is why TGD would be great for Mtatsminda aerial tramway in Tbilisi, it would only require 2 masts like the former Pendelbahn and only 6 to 8 cabins. While 8-MGD sadly bought by former municipal government will use 20 cabins and probably will have at least 4 masts, which is a big obstacle. Also Pylon type masts fro TGD and Pendelbahnen are very well accepted while MGD uses this horrible rohrstützen which are very ugly in urban area. I really thought the government would have come with better ideas for Mtatsminda ropeway and choose 3S type. Then again no one offered them seemingly, cause the manufacturers always offer MGD, simple, "designlos", cheap affordable. But NOT BEAUTIFUL. And well Tbilisi is not LA PAZ, Maybe south Americans are very happy with MGD's. But for our city I would really be glad to see better solutions. TGD's must be the option, then you get a chance to choose better design with less masts, and less cabins. MGD fits well in skii resorts, but Urban zone with thousand masts and hundreds of cabin flowing in the air is not beautiful. When it come to Mtatsminda the problem is that MGD needs to be closer to the ground, like crawl along mountain, while old aerial tramway was very high over the ground and the view was spectacular, sadly that won't happen from future MGD. It is sad because this cable car has always been Tbilisi's visit card, now it won't be.

Hi Siachoquero! A TGD is more expensive than a MGD, maybe that's why this type was chosen. The type we offer usually depends on the customers' requirements and specifications - if a TGD makes more sense, we will surely advise to choose this type of ropeway. But I have no detailed insight in the project in Tbilisi.

I guess it is too late, well former government chose MGD and Doppelmayr had already ready made thing, it was supposed to have new lower station in front of Raddison Blue Hotel in center. With the help of new government the horrible project was stopped. Instead a new location I mean the old Pendelbahn lower station was chosen, Doppelmayr now must adapt Pendelbahn station from behind for MGD so that itself the building which is cultural heritage object stays undamaged and intact. So we "Public" and new municipal government did this one good job, the old route of Pendelbahn will be restored, but as the money is already payed and Doppelmayr had already ready the cabins and stuff now we "have to" make this MGD anyway just with better route. So the technology is the same but the route is from the old one. MtatsmindaBahn according to Doppelmayr will transfer 1100 people per hour one way with 20 cabins, now TGD can easily replace this thing with only 6 to 8 cabins having capacity of 35 each. So 6 cabins of TGD are more expensive then 20 cabins of MGD, Also MGD requires at least 4 to 5 "rohrstützen" there. While TGD would be done on only 2 Fachwerstützen upper and lower, as the old Pendelbahn had.

+Nitrodanni123 Das hat rechtliche Gründe. Schau dir mal auf Google Maps den Ort Mayrhofen an. Bei gerader Trassenführung würden die Gondeln über die Häuser im Ort schweben, was meines Wissens nach in Österreich nicht erlaubt ist.

+Nitrodanni123 Eine normale Stütze und gerade Lienienführung wäre natürlich wesentlich leichter umzusetzen gewesen - du kannst davon ausgehen, dass wir die Kurvenstütze nicht einfach zum Spaß hingestellt haben :-) Hier geht es tatsächlich um rechtliche Geschichten, da die Seilbahn bei gerader Linienführung bestimmte Grundstücke, die nicht gekreuzt werden dürfen, überfahren würde.

Very interesting video, in absolutely beautiful scenery. But the actual installation (the buildings and the cable cars) are inevitably a considerable intrusion on the outstanding scenery. This is in the Zillertal, where the local authorities do not want to electrify the local railway because the wires would be intrusive! (The hydrogen powered alternative for the trains is untried technology and will be hugely expensive.)

@@justtoplayYT Es war hier leider nicht möglich, die Strecke komplett gerade zu realisieren - so kam's zu der kleinen "Umleitung". Der Aufwand für so eine 3S-Kurvenstütze ist sehr hoch, daher wurde das bisher auch nur in Mayrhofen gemacht.

Hi Fritz! Die alte 2S-Bahn hatte auch schon so eine Kurve in der Streckenführung - meines Wissens hängt das mit einem Umspannwerk und dem Gasthaus am Berg zusammen. Daher konnte man hier keine gerade Linie realisieren.
