I have taken one of your lift with DDD and I was impressed to see how silent it is !

Assume this is a synchronous permanent magnet motor, with the rotor having permanent magnets and the stator containing a wound field. Since the rotor is locked in step with the rotating field, and the rpm is very low, the circuitry must have very precision control to achieve this.

It seems ropeway customers want direct drive :-) In the Wind buissenes there a still geared turbines sold, maybe half of all. Is this with permanent magnets? What is the nominal frequency? Can the converter feed back power to the grid?

Hi! Yes, the DDD uses permanent magnets and it can feed back power to the grid. We are not giving out info on the frequency, though.

Hi! Sorry for the delayed response - one ring of our DDD has a constant power output of 315kW.
