Yes, exactly this. She seems able to really realize the Tonwille, and actually play the music. Other renditions from other pianists are so narcissistic, whereas this exudes compassion and understanding for the piece. Hard to describe, but "pathos" is absolutely on the right track.

I think we'd all enjoy hearing you play something not quite so technically demanding. You have good sound and reasonable facility, but a virtuoso warhorse like this has to just be tossed off - "shaken out of the sleeves" as my teacher used to say.
