My mom and dad always sang this to each other. Yesterday I played it for my 94 yr old mom and it was magic. She sang along word for word and we both stepped back in time for a moment. Dad died 5 years ago. Their love for each other was truly magic.

Nicholas, I am 58 years old, and each time I see the Movie or watch the scene of the Movie where Doris sings "Its Magic", I cry too ! I have loved Doris Day since I was a very small child, and My Mom would sing "Que Sera Sera" to Me to help me go to Sleep. I usually had the choice of a Story or a Song. Her voice is instantly recognized - that uniquee sound - classy - passionate - the best! She probably was one of the most unassuming actress in Hollywood. Made bad choices in husbands - but when you fall in love you don't see with clear eyes. I am 84 and have seen all her movies and have sheet music (I play the piano) for so many of her songs. There will never be another Doris Day!!! Julye Styne and Sammy Cahn are the composers - and she brought it to life with her expressive glorious voice.

I am one of the lucky ones to receive an autographed picture of her made out to me, and a beautiful letter thanking me for the gift I sent her for her 96th birthday. I wrote a story about her and I and how we went on a Sentimental Journey. That was the name of her first hit. In the story, as part of the sentence structure, I incorporated 150 of her song titles. She couldn't imagine how long it took me to do it. I cherish both the picture and the letter, I loved her my whole life, and still do.
