@@jamesbumbry8358 From what I read online, her son (Terry) died of melanoma in November 2004 at the age of 62. Doris was 82 at the time of his death. As you probably know, Doris died in May 2019 at the age of 97.

The Great Kirk Douglas, who passed away in 2020 at 103 years old being one of the last classic Hollywood stars alive, along with Olivia de Havilland who also passed away the same year and at the same age. One of my favorite classic jazz movies.... I found out later that it is a heavily fictionalized version of the Bix Beiderbecke story. I didn't quite catch what was going on with his wife, played by Lauren Bacall, when I was young...but she was apparently gay and left him. It was "coded" and not said explicitly in the film.
