Instant subscriber. First time anyone has ever described the ac frequency cleaning action. Thanks.

Great explaining for a novice electrical stance. I think my daughter could understand it a little more. Waiting patiently for part 3.

Fantastic video. I haven't been welding very long. I've only welded steel a bit here and there but I really want to get into it now that I have more time. I really want to learn how to best use my everlast welder and get into some aluminum welding too.

Thanks for explaining many of the important steps and tips for welding aluminum. It will help me dive deeper into the proper features a welding machine should have. I want to learn how to weld aluminum to fabricate and repair race car parts in my home shop.

Great information about tig welding. You explained it very well and now I have a better understanding of how a tig machine works. Just purchased the Lincoln Tig 200. I have used a square wave 175 for many years. I need to contact you regarding my SW 175, I have experienced trouble getting an arc started when using the ac. Again, great information in your video! Mike
@DoRiteFabrication8 жыл бұрын
A bad ground or a defective torch (high freq leaking through the torch lead) has been the most likely causes of difficult arc start in AC.
@ALWAYSPDG8 жыл бұрын
I'll take a look at both of those issues you mentioned. If it is a bad ground issue, where do you recommend I look for that? Thanks for getting back to me. Mike

It DID! Thanks to your explanation. You know how many years passed before someone told me to keep the filler rod in the gas atmosphere? I used to be a grinder. Now I'm a welder because of that.

Question about Square Wave on video. When the % of positive was lessened, yielding a more energy negative square the zero axis point moved to the left. I was thinking that would imply a change of frequency. I expected, before seeing the video, that the amplitude would have been reduced, but I think you are saying there is a time shift % where positive is lessened and negative increased within the same one cycle frequency.
@DoRiteFabrication8 жыл бұрын
Correct, in reference to one complete cycle. Time, not amplitude.

Thanks for the fast answer. I follow your Channel faithfully and this "Class Series" is just icing on the cake! Great Job :-)
@mceperformance89788 жыл бұрын
The cycle is complete when the next positive event happens. So the frequency stays constant, even though the positive portion is shortened (the negative portion is lengthened by the same amount). Time is 1/f, (t= 1/f) so if frequency is 60hz, 1/60 = .01666 The wave repeats every .01666 seconds (or 16.6 milli seconds). Hope that makes things clear as mud... lol
