The end of an era. I initially found this channel just after you got the Versys, because I was looking for video reviews of the Versys - which I ended up buying, I still have it, and still love it. I'm much more road/twisties oriented that the Dork. This channel is no longer as relevant to my interests, motorcycling-wise (I'm not into the dual sport thing), but I still tune in, as I enjoy the way the commentary is presented.

Funny thing - I found your channel because I was looking at a Verys 650 which I did buy....'17 with 1700 miles. Its pretty much identical to yours with the black and green. Anyway, I came for the Versys insights but stayed for the great dual sport videos. Since I started my back to biking after 30 years with an XT250, I can totally relate... except I live in Texas and would love to explore Oregon some day! Super for you that your sold it - keep up the great work!

I loved my 16 Versys and wish I still had it, great commuter. I found the stock seat got a little painful after about 20-30 minutes.

It takes me about 90 minutes to get to that point. I'm toying with the idea of getting a Sargent seat - they make one that's really well thought of for the Versys.

Exact Same! I traded my Versys for an Indian Chieftain. I love my Chieftain, but missed carving up some twisties. I ended up buying a Ninja 650 to accompany my Chieftain, and wish I would've just bought another Versys. Versys is SO much more comfortable than the Ninja.

I wasn't sold because you didn't so wheelies with it like SRK review! I owned the Ninja 650 and it was a great bike. The Versys would be even better for my style of riding. But I have a 2002 Honda Nighthawk CB750 that I picked up for under $1,000 with GIVI bags!

I bought the bike before 1 month.. 2017 model.. Is a very beautiful bike and an all around good bike. You can do anything.. But.. after 20 minutes I start to pain.. I don't know if the problem is only the stock seat or the back suspension as well.. I will trade her with a tiger 1050 2011..I hope that the tiger will be more comfy for long trips..

That stock seat is a killer after a while. Definitely something I would have upgraded if I'd kept the bike.

Beaded seat mod. Works for me on my 2016 V650. I would struggle after an hour before it and now can easily do 2 hours no problem. On and Dorks seat mod to raise the front helped too. 😉👍

The shenanigans you need to worry about come from the buyer sometimes. Trying to sell my bike to get a Versys 650 LT, and so far all I'm getting is low ballers, and scammers. 🙄 Glad you didn't have those kind of experiences. 👍

I have the same bike same color with 11k miles on it now. I threw on Avon 90/10 tires (which made a HUGE difference) a Trex skidplate and now love tackling fire roads and jeep trails in Northern CA. The bike is more capable then most think. It is not an African Twin by any means but for me riding 30 mins to 2+ hours on the hwy to get to an hour or more of back country mountain dirt and gravel roads it just works for about half the price or less of the common ADV bikes. The 17" front isn't great in sand or deep gravel but it so flickable on the paved twistys. Check these out...
