In this installment of my enclosed trailer conversion build series, I'm showing you how to install E track rails on the floor and the walls of an enclosed trailer. This is a very important step in my process of building my ideal enclosed trailer motorcycle hauler/camper conversion setup. Adding E Track to the floor of my enclosed cargo trailer will give me a ton of flexibility when it comes to securing and hauling motorcycles either one or two at a time. Thanks to the quick and easy adjustability of the E track motorcycle tie down system, I can switch between one or more motorcycle mounting setups in the trailer on the fly and still have tons of room left to use this setup as a cargo trailer camper as well.
As far as E track installation, enclosed trailer flooring and walls offer ample opportunities to anchor the E track to both the plywood floor using wood screws and the trailer frame and wall studs using self-drilling screws. Thank you for coming along on this cargo trailer build as I attempt to set it up to be both the ultimate motorcycle trailer and best cargo trailer camper possible.

@@DorkintheRoad I don't think there was any mistakes in your build. I would have set up the E Track the same and then thought of another pattern. What I may do is down the center and both walls a foot off the floor. And one high to hang stuff.

That E track would also make a great spot for hanging a hammock to sleep in using the hooks from the top. 🏕

I live in Texas & on a 90 degree days working in a hot trailer I would have at least 1 fan blowing a breeze on myself to be able to stand the heat. Just my house we have a minimum of 5 different fans. My wife & I paid anywhere from $5 to $25 for each fan. On a 90 degree day it helps make it bearable. Now on the years we have 100+ degree weather I just put it off until September when temperatures drop into the 90s. Sorry you didn’t set yourself up to stay cooler.

Good job on the trailer. I hope trailer prices don't go threw the roof because that's the only way I be camping unless I hit the lottery without buying a ticket. By the way you can use the E-clip strips vertically so you can adjust the height of your straps easier not a big deal just thought I'd tell you. I see you found that they have cool accessories for them. I'll be a spectator for a while longer. You might go broke on buying straps for all of your things.

That big glass of ice and liquid sure seamed to be missing something...But yea to the e tracks and I got some real nice solid tie down rings for mine. Quick and easy to move, very secure!

Good video! Fold down bunks from the walls would be cool. The whole time watching this, I kept thinking “weight distribution”. When fully loaded, try and keep the brunt of the weight slightly forward of the axles…. It’ll tow nicer and won’t be as hard on the trailer.

Hey Dork, I also installed e-track in a trailer and immediately regretted not using actual bolts to hold them to the floor in critical areas. I was using them to hold down camping equipment and found that the vibration and bouncing on the road, quickly pulled screws out. I drilled holes for the bolts, threw some washers on both ends and bolted them down with nylock nuts. Hasn't come loose since. I would suggest maybe replacing the screws with nuts and bolts just in the spots you plan on putting the tie downs at, they create the most upward force. Just my recommendation.

Great video for all us cargo trailer buffs. Check out a You Tube channel called Gonagain. He has a video about how to put in air vents to equalize the air pressure in the trailer when traveling down dusty roads and stops the dust from entering the trailer. He also has one about a way to put bunk beds in your trailer. There is a way to us etrack to put beds in also.
