My electronics history is rusty but I believe those little canisters next to the battery are actual electrodes(one positive, one negative) for chemically charging the battery. It's such a nice touch to have those little accessories included! Someone at Four Horsemen has been doing their homework.

Bill, one of my favorite reveals! The excitement was evident from the cutting of the tape on to the identification of the Figura Obsura.🙂 Frankenstein is one of my al time stories from that eara of literature. I usually collect or at least appreciate the different interpretations of Mary Shellys original work. The some of the different heads to me portray the Robert Dinero verson of the creature more then the Universal Monsters portrayal. I may be alone here. Your customs all were super cool. All were organic. I would say the first and the last were my favorites. 🙌✌️

like many others I easily put the pieces together as to what this was gonna be, "comes to life", "rise and roam the halls", and the lighting teaser image, and I'm super happy with what we got, instantly put my order in. Just naturally fits into the Figura Obscura wheelhouse, ties into the spooky season as Fall Figura-drops have done so far, and is an interpretation of a literary character. I love it because its something we've never really gotten before. Universal Monsters Boris Karloff-style Frankenstein's Monster is not hard to come by, but I haven't seen a more book-accurate version of Dr. Frankenstein's creation until now. Also perhaps 4H can reuse some of his parts to just make some zombies in Mythic Legions. There's vampires in Mythic Legions, and ambulant skeletons too, I don't think undead stitched-together zombie monstrosities being in the line is too far out of left field.

It loos like the diorama sets have to be assembled, but they are not permanently stuck together, right? If that's the case then I would be happy. It's nice to be able to disassemble things and put them back in the box for storage and moving.

I'm glad they did go with the book version, since we already have a ton of Universal Studios toys to pick from. Interesting that the forearms and shins are covered in stitches, while the thighs and biceps aren't. They must have plans for a slimmer brute scale figure down the line. Because the Creature calls Dr. Frankenstein "Father" his full name should be The Creature Frankenstein's Monster Frankenstein!
