Having a lot of fire alarm incidents must suck, huh? I’ve been there in elementary school because the smoke detectors were very sensitive. We had at least 3 fire alarm incidents every month.

My dorm just had one at 1AM tonight. It sucks when it goes off in the middle of the night

I used to like fire drills until my dorm had 50 fire alarms in last semester, yes 50! Our longest time between them was 10 days and our shortest was 45 minutes.

@@schoolbus110 yikes LMAO what caused them to go off all the time??
@schoolbus1102 жыл бұрын
@@buffalo716railran there was a new fire alarm system put in over the summer so it is very sensitive. People spraying hairspray, perfume, room fresheners would set it off. Then you had people who would burn popcorn or other food. There was also a resident (who graduated) who set it off on purpose 9 times.

@@schoolbus110 I remember last year a resident kept setting it off on purpose. And I'm with you with drills I didn't mind them but now they're annoying. My dorm has simplex true alerts and high pitched smoke alarms in the rooms (mine says M2-154 idk what that means maybe it's the type of alarm(??)

@@buffalo716railran the smoke detector in your room is probably a simplex TrueAlarm smoke and sounder base. The M2-154 label is the device identification number not the model number. I’m pretty sure the M2 means you are on the second floor and the 154 means it’s the 154th device on that floor. My detector/sounder base number in Oswego is M5-34 and I’m on the 5th floor.

Was it a scheduled drill or an incident that triggered the fire alarm?
@taxilthegreenchicken999 Жыл бұрын
That's a good question but 1 year ago from my building it incidentally triggered the alarm 9 times one in October 6 2021 one on October 23 2021 one on November 9 2021 one in November 30 2021 one in December 22 2021 and one in January 12 2022 one in January 13 2022 one in January 14 2022 and January 17

The dorm has 9 upper floors and a basement.

What does M5-34 mean?
@Fahrenheit40512 жыл бұрын
@@joeycaridi3030 It's the device's address on the panel. Simplex calls it a MAPNET number.
