I really like the way your subbies are supporting you and giving feedback on the items that work for them and offering suggestions. The comment on the mesh shower caddy was a good one, because she brought out a great point that only a user of the product can make, and also the idea about the which type of hamper would be beneficial was good too.

I have that same wallpaper on one of my walls in my bedroom. I got the same design at brand at target for about $30. I also had the same curtains but in black. I ended up returning them and going with some all white curtains with a little damask design on them. Love the different colors one the room! The finished product looks great!

I will be going to college this upcoming fall semester and I needed some good tips and Organization tools to organize as much as possible for my dorm. And I am very organized and I love the way you explain which each item is and how they work, where you could put them at. The best tip is using command hooks and a rod for hanging curtains. I have a couple of bare windows because I simply don't want to deal with hardware and curtain rods again but I think I want to try this trick out. I love the color combination of this space and look forward to seeing the room later in the month.

If you have any spray paint, you can coat the hooks in a color of your choice for a more hard-ware look.

You're doing an amazing job :D The motion sensor soap dispenser is an especially good idea and investment. Great thinking! Don't forget about the hamper, though! If they have a washer/dryer in their dorm, then any hamper will do but if she has to use a laundry room that all the dorms share, then the plastic kind with wheels and a handle would be best. Plus, if she goes home on the weekends for mom to wash her clothes (lol) then it'll be easier to roll out her laundry instead of dragging a heavy laundry bag or mesh pop up hamper.

Nikki, Im a JR in college and I used to have a mesh shower caddy. I think that you guys should return it only because its not very good at draining and it gets supper soggy. Plastic caddy's are much more durable and much easier to clean.

So many great tips and finds. I can't wait to see the room reveal! Please encourage Jewel to have a talk with her suite mates about locking the door to the suite when they go in and out, especially if the individual bedrooms don't have a key. Thankfully this never happened to me, but a friend of mine had money stolen from her room (the thief got in because the door to the suite was left unlocked). People often get comfortable in dorms once they've gotten acquainted with their roommates/suite mates, but even if you're leaving for just a few minutes, it's good to lock the door behind you. Many times it's not the roommate who's the problem, but an acquaintance of theirs or a neighbor down the hall. Also, move in and move out are when a lot of thefts tend to occur, so even lock the door behind you when going back and forth with boxes. I would hate for all of your hard work to be spoiled!

I have a son in his third year of college. The "safe bag" is a great idea for keeping items safe. Roommates often for get to lock the door to the room leaving valuables at risk.
