the last Dornier Do 24 was built in 1945, when did it get turboprops?

The French can put art into everything they build . What a wonderful aircraft . I wish our Family had never left France during the 100 year war with England . My history goes 400 years farther back from the 1400 . First recording of my name goes back to 900 AD in France area now .

Thanks for posting this Michaela. That is a very nice looking model from its age. Wouldn't want to prang it with that centre engine running, though.

Tolle Aufnahmen. Leider hat sie keine originalen Motoren mehr.

Wonderful sight to see this amazing aircraft through your lens … do modern engines disqualify this as a period aircraft? No, not in my humble opinion! Just think of all the important and rare airframes sitting in museums around the world, just imagine ……

It looks small enough to be an R/C model aircraft.

Personally the way this pilot is flying this thing I think he ought to be replaced. Even if his name IS Dornier he is taking way to much of a risk with this airplane especially the way he is flying it in such close proximity to a large number of people endangering them. As a career airline pilot I think I have a fair understanding of risks that are ok when you fly and risks that are not ok.

I’m not so sure… He’s flying parallel to the crowd over the Rhine River which is fairly wide… There are risks with any air show, but I would say that the risks are minimal… In this case, the flight is fully authorized, supervised and the pilots don’t seem to be taking any undue risks…

@@tripleseven8361 I've basically grown up on airshows, and I clenched my butt cheeks @ 7:09 - 14 Not a nice maneuver at all.
@tripleseven83613 жыл бұрын
@@benghazi4216 You may be right...It would be easier to judge the extent of the risk, if one had a bird's eye view of the entire area, including locations of crowds, boats, etc.
