Craig, I prefer to wear an adult diaper when I roll, not for any weird reason, I just like the way it feels and find it more efficient than to stop rolling and go to the washroom. Sometimes ignorant people complain that I smell like shit and piss so they refuse to roll. I didn't see any rule about diapers, can I expect to earn my place in the hallowed hall of B?

Gordon and John are both very good human beings as well. They just have different focuses and mechanics of daily routine. B Team is also Full of wonderful people. You don’t have to cut other people down to lift someone else up. Unofficial rule at every good gym.

Great content. Honestly more gyms should adhere to the rules you’ve set in place. A lotttt of gym owners are only concerned about making money and will ignore some of the red flags that are mentioned here. Flex less on social media about this team if you don’t really care about your development and the welfare of your training partners. Look after your well-being and take advantage of the quality training available to you.

At my first gym we had a consistent late roller who would come in on the 3rd round. He would always make sure the instructors saw him destroying tired people. Good strategy I guess cause he got promoted quick but then he got called out and when he had to roll with fresh people he couldn’t get many subs.

You still can, just not right now. Start training regularly at a local BJJ school now, and you could get your blue belt and be ready to roll alongside the pros next year. Almost everyone except you will seem great when you first start, so you'll appreciate the best a lot more after you've developed your skills and trained with a variety of people.

What is the distinction? I have seven-eight years of mixed martial arts training which has included a lot of grappling - But I’ve never trained with a specialized Jitsu gym and would like to start. I can hang with the blue belts at New Wave, I just don’t have the belt.

If I were you, I'd also add that people traveling to visit have to make sure they wear fresh rash guards and shorts to every training session and don't re wear what they wore to the morning or lunch session without washing it first. 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

Blue belt and above! When I was there in January it said purple and above. It’s cool tho, I found this rad gym closer to where I was staying called Violet Crown Jiu Jitsu and had a great time. I’ll definitely drop in next time tho, hopefully have my purple belt by then anyway
