The man is an artist and I say that with the utmost respect. He earned his stripes in his first interviews with the amount of respect/research he did but his approach and his art is a little... how do you say? In your face? I'm a dude with anger issues and the way he pushes the microphone in their face would have me worked up alone. He's clever as hell and knows how to push and likely learned that skill, as you stated, through physical violence at times. His whole appearance itself is also just this thrust-in-your-face thing you have to digest quickly. Love the dude.

To me it was like he was ordering the meal again, something he doesn’t done in so long. In that moment nardwuar achieved what he strives for in every interview, he made the artist really think and reflect on their past. In that moment Kendrick Lamar wasn’t talking to some interviewer using him as a product, he was displaying his authentic self as he transported his mind back to a more simple time before the money and fame. Nardwuar not only grounds the artist with memories no one would bring up, he also allows the audience to relate to the artist, humanising them in the process. @@miquelmoorrees6010 it’s quite a bold assumption to think the internet right now is “useless”. Of course somethings are completely opinionated or just straight up wrong but that’s because people have more freedom to do so. On the flip side, it has given more freedom to set up pages where information is checked and thus being more reliable. Also worth mentioning that people have more of a digital footprint than ever.
