Thank you! I have thought that for weeks and wish that people would allow the full story to unfold before judging and complaining about parts of it. These last two chapters have information and characters that will come into play for Boba in the finale and they couldn’t just dump exposition on us, they had to tell those characters’ situations as well. Any well written book has chapters that are “seemingly” unattached from the main character. Since this IS a well written Book, I find myself thinking, “What nuggets are they going to surprise us with in chapter 7?” 😏🤩

Im pretty confident that Grogu will choose both or end up in some way as both regardless of what he decides. Ashoka kinda dropped a big line with Luke, how she said "Sometimes the student guides the Master." Its possible Grogu will teach Luke that he can be both Mandalorian and Jedi.

Even so, putting Grogu up to choose, when he's gonna be outliving any of them, and thus can decide to change or go back to the Path, is kinda weird imo. Luke himself, interupted his training with Yoda to go help his friends, before coming back. Now it might be a pedagogic move, like to teach grogu that if he makes a choice he has to stick to it for it to have meaning or something, since Grogu is "relatively speaking" still "young". But like he said, he ain't putting his heart into this, so a change or decision needs to be made.

The more I watch the duel, the more I think shooting Cob in the shoulder was intentional. That was his drawing arm. I'm thinking he left Cob alive but crippled his quick draw as a warning. Also, seeing how fast the Mandalorian draws and how he considers Cob a friend, I'm betting we're going to see a showdown between him and Cad before the season ends

I think this is a test by Luke to see if grogu know the importance of the training. That if he picks the saber Luke with also give him the armor. But if he choice the armor he will have him leave. Going off of what Luke said. “ you may never see him again” he didn’t say if you pick the saber you will never see him. I think we’ll see him at the end of season 3. I think season 3 will be focused on the dark saber and mandalore. I think grogu will stay and get enough training and leave just like Luke did when he senses mando is in trouble. Then grogu will go back and be welcomed but Luke’s new student Ben will not like this idea of everyone forgiving him so easily and allowing grogu to return giving us our first look at Ben’s dark side. That’s if they are keeping the sequels cannon

That Naboo fighter was designed specifically to hold a baby Yoda, for likely season 3 with that "hogged out" astromech space behind Din. They hired the guy who "fixed" the first Luke appearance in the Mandalorian finale. He put out a KZbin video of his work and it impressed Lucasfilm so much, they hired him. Clearly he is good.

Even though I am disappointed that Boba Fett is being sidelined in his own show I can’t contain my excitement at the fact that in one episode we got Grogu, Luke Skywalker, Ahsoka, Cobb Vanth, AND CAD FREAKING BANE!!!!! Now that the Pyke Syndicate has Cad Bane they have now leveled the playing field. One thing I didn’t like though is that Luke gave Grogu an ultimatum of either being a Jedi or a Mandalorian. I know that the Jedi are not supposed to form attachments to anyone but it was exactly Luke’s attachment to his father that brought Anakin back to the light and saved the Galaxy. Maybe it’s to foreshadow how Luke needed to reevaluate the rules of a Jedi and make a new and more open minded set of rules.

I think is because earlier in the episode Luke said that he was wondering if Grogu is putting his heart on the training, so he makes him decide to know if what he thinks is correct or not, but also I think That in the next episodes Mando will struggle again with the darksaber and will go to Luke so he can help him with the darksaber and I hope that mando tells Luke what he knows about the darksaber and in that moment Luke realizes that Grogu can have of both worlds

4:35 Fun fact: That is Sabermaster Cin Drallig in the Grogu flashback. He was an amazing instructor and the head of the Jedi Temple Guard. His live action in the prequels was played and inspired by Bob Anderson (he has a brief cameo duel with Anakin/Darth Vader during Order 66 when Obi-Wan is looking at the security footage of the fall of the temple.) Bob Anderson is a master swordsman and fencer and was the stunt choreographer of the Star Wars movies, The Princess Bride, Lord of the Rings, The Mask of Zorro and many more. Cin Drallig was actually a "boss" you had to fight in the Episode III videogame of Revenge of the Sith. The story is about how Vader kills him. Grogu's flashback actually showed the clones killing him which is an interesting change in the new Disney Canon. (Like, they could have almost showed Hayden in the background as Anakin if they really wanted to..)

There is another possibility...... ....Grogu may choose to return to Dinn, but On Ahsika's advice, Luke gives Grogu Yoda's light saber. Grogu goes to help Dinn, like he left his training, to go help Han and Leia. With the training he has, Grogu' a presence helps Dinn control the Dark Saber. Once the conflict is over, Grogu does return to Luke.

You would hope/think Luke would have learned what denying attachment does. We all know what eventually happens with the new school and especially Ben. Maybe that unlearned lesson is part of what leads to that.

But one thing luke was right, a short period of time for grogu and life time for Din, what if din dies for age or killed, then grogu might fall into the dark side like Anakin. Makes sense to me in a Jedi way even though I’d love to see grogu choose mando.

Considering grogu was given a choice, and certain things that were and weren’t mentioned in the third trilogy, I have a theory that I would very much like see come to pass. My theory is that grogu will choose to go back to mando… but… considering that Ashoka was never mentioned in the 3rd trilogy maybe she tags along to reunite with mando to help care for grogu and continue his training while at the same time helping mando develop his connection to the force considering he wields the dark saber and becomes the true ruler of mandalor. Also seeing din jaren under the helmet he seems to be at least a few year older than Luke, meaning in the 3rd trilogy he would be very old or possibly already deceased, and as dins basically adopted son, din could have passed on the dark saber to grogu by the time the 3rd trilogy comes about, where grogus age may have caught up enough for him to wield a saber. And possibly with the future of Star Wars under a new order of force wielders, it would be amazing to see grogu return as an adult stepping up into master yodas place training the new order of force wielders. Yes this is where I’d like to see Star Wars head.

15:02 @Dos Cavazos, We know Grogu's answer. He wants to see Din, just as much as Din wanted to see him. Luke unlocked Grogu's blocked memories, and Luke already pointed out that Grogu is remembering things already learned, and maybe that's all Grogu needed, a little push. Grogu choosing the armor isn't a bad thing either because Din already has a lightsaber for him! The Darksaber is what he needs anyway to bring what the Armorer said last episode full circle, Tarre Vizsla was a Mandalorian and Jedi, now Grogu is too. Grogu is going to have Mandalorian armorer and a Mandalorian lightsaber. Luke and Grogu are going to get caught up in what's going on on Tatooine when Luke takes him to be with Din. And you've gotta believe that Luke is going to step in. Tatooine is still his home and he still has friends there--they were the couple at Tosche Station in the second episode. I only wonder if Luke and Grogu will be the only ones to join in, as I have a feeling that we could possibly see Asoka one more time too. We saw Cad Bane, but is he all the Pyke's have? I starting to doubt it, but I guess we'll have to wait and see. But it would be a bit unfair to have two or two and a half Jedi joining Boba's team to beat up on the Pykes and a very skilled bounty hunter. Let's not forget about Boba's rancor either; I'm feeling pretty good about him evoking the image of the Mythosaur the Armorer spoke of when he rides it through Mos Espa. Do you guys think the Pykes have someone else from the Clone Wars/Rebels on their side? I liked the last episode, but this was awesome. Lucasfilm is getting very good at de-aging Mark Hamill. I kept thinking that they were going to bring in someone to actually play Luke, but they don't need to! Dave and John are going to find a way to fix the later trilogies, and I cannot wait to see how they do it! EDIT: 16:19 Of course it was a Boba Fett story, just like the last one. Boba Fett is part of the Star Wars, all of these shows are in the same universe! The last few episodes of the Mandalorian introduced us to Asoka, Deathtroopers, R2 and Luke and no one complained about it not being a Mandalorian episode. Why are you complaining now? Boba was never a story outside of Star Wars. The Mandalorian set things up, and Boba is just the next story moving things forward. Mandalorian season three will do the same when it debuts too. Enjoy the rides folks, I sure am =D
