when I drove one it was known as a Dosco road header. started on a Mk 2, then Mk 2A then the Titan Road header.

brings back memories.... fixing these things. Wish they were this clean and had the aprons removed ready.., The paddle chain was always troublesome and the track motors and hoses. Spent many an hour underneath these replacing hoses or elbows that had sheared off in a mix of coal, slurry and aquacent.....

Even better fun when they're buried half way up the Aquacent oil tank and and we had to dig the things out . stuffing split bars and chock nogs under the tracks. Oh the fun times hey lads. Still go back tomorrow though.

Yeah me too at the notts pit, we knew them as drcl (dosco roadway cutter loader ) the older of the machines , the mk11a took over from this but these were still being used great machines doscos
