DX Blaze Megazord Review & Comparison (Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel)

Welcome to my review of the DX Blaze Megazord from the new Season Power Rangers Ninja Super Steel. This zord is comprised of six zords instead of the usual five, it can also combine with previous released Lion Fortress. Should you add this to your collection? Honestly i prefer this mold a thousand times over the ninja steel megazord. It just doesn't have that cheap feeling that the ninja steel one has.

The one thing I don’t like about the American version is how the rangers stick out of the chest well in the Japanese version they fight into the chest

It has to do with toy safety laws and the minimum length for projectiles.

A few things: The piece that pegs into Fire Lion can be flipped halfway and twisted to fire the missiles. The head star can plug onto the chest for Ultrazord mode. The box accidentally has a picture of Gekiatsu Daioh on it. Bandai of America kind of does have to budget a little differently because more paint means more paint masks, and MMPR Toys Bruno actually showed their paint process is a bit more involved than other toy makers'. The lack of wheels is curious though.

I noticed that the peg can flip half way which is good because turning the front is kind of difficult to turn in my opinion. My son is getting his for Christmas . Of course bandai of America lacks of paint but like MMPR toys said they have to pay a price for different paint apps. I mean if adult collectors are buying it, they can apply paint to it to make it show accurate, kids don’t care. Heck I think they did pretty good job with the adaptation from Japan on this one.

MATTHEW ALEXANDER This is probably the best adaptation of the design for ZordBuilder besides maybe Ninja Megazord. As much as I love Thunder Megazord, it doesn't really have much for ZordBuilder compatibility.

OtakuUnitedStudio true however the legacy line is for the adult collectors so they can relive their power ranger child hood. The Zorbuilder system is good for kids to use their imagination. However I am at odds about what happened to the roof of the nitro zord. The repaints or the other zords in color scheme of rumble tusk, Astro, and soon sub surfer is what I find annoying but hey that is how bandai can make another 35 bucks . Parents will buy for their kids to make them happy. I wish they will do a four pack auxiliary zord exclusive to toys r us like when they did the two pack of spino and black T. rex zords last year around Christmas time. I don’t think they will do that until next year if they do to get rid of their stock. The weapons that are out are pretty cool I think .

MATTHEW ALEXANDER Bruno from MMPR Toys said the rep they talked to said they will only be available as recolor Megazord sets. Also no indication of a Dinomaru adaptation. The closest to an individual release we're getting is the 5.5 inch Armor Power figures, and we might not be getting them for Astro, Bull Rider, or Sub Surfer.

Not a fan of the empty space created by the lack of a bigger shuriken. In general, I hate the Falcon Zord and its counterpart's method of attaching. Just feels lazy and kinda brings down the whole "first six-piece main Megazord/Mecha" as it's basically a five-piece with a fancy helmet. By that metric, you can say the Shogun Megazord/Muteki Shogun is a six-piece. The only difference is that someone owns the final piece and it's called a zord/mecha.

Honestly I think the Megazords in the Ninja Steel/Super are very good. Including the Ninja Steel megazord personally I think people are over dramatic on that one.

Chuck Pritchard I agree. I honestly think that this line as a whole has been getting way too much heat. Sure, some things haven't been that great like the role play weapons (they look fine but I don't like that you have to twist the ninja stars rather than spin them like in the show or the Japanese versions) but the megazords and 5 inch Action Heroes have been decent.

I'm not too hot on the main Ninja Steel Megazord because it seems a bit inconsistent to have another Zord sit in a pilot seat but cover its face with the full size head. But Rumble Tusk does a good job of just looking like a chest plate on a more normal Megazord so I got it for that reason anyway. Plus I love the Fusion Zord mode regardless, so it was still worth getting.

Anthony Boodram I agree with the stars and the lack of spinning is annoying. I feel like that they wanted to do something different with the stars probably because of how bad Ninninger performed when it came to you sales.

OtakuUnitedStudio unfortunately they chose to go with Ninninger designs which were meh. However the BOA versions kinda made them better due to how sleeker they look.

Something I find amusing with Gekiatsu Daioh - he has the flip-down face on his Shuriken, but it just covers his normal face that looks exactly the same. The only reason it's there is so you can use it on the other mecha. I think I prefer how it was handled by the Ninja Steel toy. Also, that flip-out handle on Blaze Megazord can be turned to fire the missiles, rather than turning the chest.

The names of the Ninja Steel Rangers' Auxiliary Zords were meant to be this: Falcon-Glider Zord, Serpent-Bike Zord, Tortoise-Tank Zord, Tiger-4WD Zord, Panda-Copter Zord, Piranha-Marine Zord. What do you think 🤔?

well there's the falcon ninja megazord from mmpr season 3 as that was a megazord that had all 6 rangers in one megazord...sure its techically a secondary megazord made into the primary megazord

I never really liked Gekiatsu Dai-Oh, or really any of Ninninger's mecha for that matter, but I think Bandai America has done a pretty good job at recreating this megazord. I like the translucent orange flames and obviously the box lol, so Idk if I might pick this up yet or not. I'm like it is the last actual "regular" megazord of the show so I might as well, but then I'm like let me not get it because it's not like I'm gonna have a complete collection of Ninja Steel's zords anyways because unless I can get the Lion Fire for a HUGE discount, I'm not paying $100 for it & I not gonna have the auxiliary zords because I'm not buying multiple repainted Ninja Steel Megazords over again to get them. So I think it might just rely on the actual show & how good it is lol If the show can make me like it enough to actually want to have a representation of it in my collection. Which so far it's not looking so good lol, but we'll see what Super Ninja Steel has in store for us.

supahsamurai1 Toys R Us is currently selling Lion Fire for markdown at 79.99. Not sure it that's enough of a discount though; if you have a rewards card, it might be worth it to used your store cash coupons to bring that down some more.

i like the toy but as part of the Ninja Steel (or since it started in Ninninger) it does not realy fit with the other zords, you can not use any of the "extra zords" like the UFO, Elephant, Dino, Surfer ninninger robots with this one, maybe they should have created a "evil Ninninger" team and have this be for them and not the good guys

Well, unlike the Rumble Tusk Zord that was released in the holiday season of last year, it appears that the Sub Surfer Zord is coming out later than we expected. For the movie-exclusive zord, we'll just have to wait and see about that.

Sub Surfer seems likely what with the inclusion of it's star in the new wave. Dino hasn't even been hinted at.
