Hey Chad read this for your aunt. Tell her to use and instant pot for boiled eggs. Best thing I ever learned. Put one cup of water in bottom use the metal rack set eggs on that. Use Manual setting set it to five minutes. Let it count down five on the pot. Then put cold water add ice full in pot bust eggs to. let soak 5 minutes peels like a dream. So try with your chickens eggs and see how it goes. If you do not have an instant pot, you don’t know what you’re missing. I don’t know how I ever lived without that thing.

I have over 60 chickens and 11 ducks and they dont lay much for the winter either. I give them any extra eggs I dont use, and the egg shells of the ones I do use. They have never eaten a lain egg. By the way, they LOVE pumpkin!! It helps deworm them too as well as being good for their digestion, so any old pumpkins you can get give them that and they go nuts over it.

Hi Chad and Rae! Another good video. I understand about insurances checking on cost. I had a heart attack and was sent to a bigger hospital by helicopter. My insurance called me about 3 or 4 times to make sure it is health related or an accident for the reason for the helicopter ride. I can see why from the cost. Please don't feel like you need to apologize! This is life, and what happened is still very fresh and recent, and you are still dealing with it on a regular basis. Plus, it's healthy to talk about it and process it that way, and we are here for you all! Your littlest donkey reminds me of me and my younger brother when we were in our teens! I was always "high energy" and he was laid back. I would run circles around him, chattering up a storm while he ambled, walking down the sidewalk together. That baby donkey was running circles around everyone as they ran up to eat. It's hard to believe he turned 73 today!

We have a small 26 acre farm in south central Kansas. We took over the family farm. It had a maybe 30 year old double wide on it that needed a lot of work. But we made a decision to have it take down and went with a modular home built. Advanced System Homes built in Chanute KS. is who we went with. They service some of north Oklahoma. We just like the fact you can design it yourself. It has a full 9’ basement so we designed it around that. Good luck with your new challenges.

Same here but in 2012. I had to deal with it all on my own as hubby had to keep working (long haul trucker) Of course our adult children were with me but it was REALLY hard for me dealing with the insurance company myself. All that was left was metal framework to some furniture and appliances, cider blocks and brick. 4K sqft house. 2k upstairs and 2k down. It was still smoldering 8 days later! Our home was filled with memories, antiques etc. It was my mom and dads house. We moved in after they passed. So imagine what was in the house. :(

We just had a older couple who lost their home to fire. They lived there over 40 years, the husband is very ill. Such a hard thing to go threw. I am terrified of a house fire. No way i could get my pets out. Cats hide. God blessed you with the most important thing, your lives and safety. Everything else can be replaced. Easy to say, but does not help. You have so many memories in a home. Material memories. So hard to loose. So i say talk about it as long as you need to. Unless someone has been thru it, they have no idea the empty feeling it leaves you with. It will get better, but it takes time, and the scars will always be with you. God bless, and remember. We had a fire about 2 years ago. We were on our way to the upstairs of our house which would have given us no way out. I feel God made me step back. I did and noticed a puff of smoke. We got our dogs out as we called the fire department. One wall of the house was destroyed and the center of our house was flooded with over two inches of water standing. I cried until I couldn't cry any more, but God saved us. ( We Grandma and grandpa Doss age). We pulled ourselves together, pulled up the floor and part of the sub floor, tore out some and cleaned up the rest of the wall and rebuilt it all. It looks beautiful again, but I will never forget the fire, the terror or standing in the snow watching the side of the house burn. Thank God for the firemen that saved most of our house. God bless you all. You got this. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Chad, PTSD is real!!! I suffer with it from a 20+ years horrible marriage. You talk all you need to because it helps us heal. Happy some people have no idea what it’s like or how it feels. Always keeping your entire family in my prayers. Absolutely love your videos. Praying for healing for you guys. God has control over everything and I am so very thankful he woke you up that night and you got up and checked things. When I look at that cabin and see the devastation, I cry. Because I see how close it got and how it could have turned out differently.

Hey Chad try cleaning out the bottom of the track on your chicken door. It could have something small stuck in there preventing it from closing all the way and not completing the cycle. That is what was wrong with my best friends automatic chicken door.

I've been thinking of you. I live in an apartment building, and started smelling smoke. I thought it was coming from outside neighbors burning leaves. But it didn't smell like leaves. I went outside and realized the apartment below me was full of smoke. It was completely dark. I ran in called 911 and went downstairs and knocked on the door. Smoke detectors were finally going off. Resident opened the door in a panic. He had fallen asleep with toaster oven on, and it caught roll of paper towels on fire. Fortunately fire department was quick and got it out...without damage. You guys were the first people I thought of.
