Don’t do this often. I would like to suggest you get Snickers and her baby, plus she’s growing another beautiful baby. The Longhorn lady told us to ask you to reconsider these two. I’m a fan from the beginning years ago. I love your family and that you’re not afraid to show how much our God and your family mean to you. Thank you for being a blessing to us old folks who are on our last years.

You know if Rae didn't understand that all men are just little boys in big bodies, she does now. I'm 65 and my wife just rolls her eyes and shakes her head at some of the boyish things I do and say. And I'll tell ya, it's better than growing old and being bored.

I live in town on just under 1/3 acre with a big garden (for me) fenced in yard for my dogs and fantastic neighbors. I am 74 and for me it’s what I am happy with. That fork in the road reminds me of the quote “two roads diverged in a wood and I took the one less traveled by” by Robert Frost

Chad, I'm 65 years old. I have a full size box spring and mattress on the floor. Ummm, I almost have to call someone to help me get out of bed. Been without a full complete bed for 7 years already. Went through a terrible break up and he kept ALL the furnature. Your 80 acher farm is looking really great! Can't wait to see all you will do with it. Much love to you and your family from Wisconsin ❤

There are church Dorcas organizations that can help you with getting a bed frame quite inexpensively.
@edwinleach7401
@edwinleach7401 10 ай бұрын
I wanted a really low bed frame because my elderly small dog was having trouble jumping up on the bed. When this didn't work I converted it to a ramp. When this wasn't enough help I would pick her up and put her down from the bed. Her health continued to decline and decline. She was being doctored all this time but anyway she went seriously ill. Vet determined she had a huge liver tumor and most likely cancer. He said he could perhaps give her a few more months by radical surgery and removing large part of her liver. His recommendation was to end her suffering. I agreed and we did what needed to be done. I have her ashes above my desk with a nice inscription. She is on my phone and I see her often every day. I can't forget her. She walked up to me in my yard and latched on to me. I became her owner but she was really the owner. I'm getting older (going on 80) and I told my wife I didn't want another dog period. She had several other dogs in the house - ALL rescues. One of them kept coming up to me over and over. He would just sit there and look at me. I kept telling him to go away. Finally one day after several months, I told him (Charlie) OK come on and he came to life like a balloon blowing up. It's almost 5 am and she is sleeping by my desk on my bed right now. He is one happy dog. Let me get back to the bed problem. Forgive me for blabbing about me. I took some boards and screwed them together and made my own frame. It can be done pretty cheaply. If you don't have the tools perhaps someone could help you out.

no apology for the truck. you are exactly right - tool fits the job you need it to do. And, while I'm not "norm", I am all about buying new and knowing how it's treated and what it's been put through. My ram 1500 is 10 this year....176,500 miles, never needed engine work. Only repairs has been one turn-signal bulb replaced and a sensor in the transmission line replaced. And, yes please teach Rae to drive truck-trailer combo. It's not an if....it's a when...she will need that info. Better have it before she needs it than learn on the job. love the property. Love this channel. Thanks for sharing!

I learned to drive in a 1973 Chevrolet 3/4 ton stick shift pickup truck, that my Dad purchased new. Loved that truck. Dad owned that truck for 28 years over 300,000 miles. Finally had to get rid of it when the wiring harness went bad and wasn't worth the money to fix. Actually the cost of parts wasn't that bad it was the repair cost that was a lot. I still miss that truck.

I have my "40x40"....a small 972 sq ft bungalow with an open loft. I had my "40x40+" until a few years ago when my husband died suddenly. He had retired the yr before, I had one more year. We had downsized from a 50 acre Christmas tree farm. We loved it there, but it was getting too much for us at our age. Im 68 now, forever grateful to have had the farm and especially that man of mine. We'd known each other since high school in the 70's. Memories no one can take away. We'd been debt free for years, anticipating retirement, traveling, enjoying our lives together. God had other plans. Stay blessed, work hard, put God first, I'm❤❤❤ happy your dreams are coming true. You two have a wonderful life and family. I can feel you don't take that for granted.❤

I'm so happy that y'all have found 'THE SPOT' to live in a wonderful area! Prepping the land is half the battle and the other is fixing up the house to make it your own. We just had a 60F day and so I was able to put in the last 10' of plastic edging in a rock retaining wall ( 2 small car-sized) planter my late pastor hubby started and I get to finish. Need my daughter and our tractor to replace a large boulder that a city snowplow knocked down over a year ago and I tried to skooch it by hand and barely got it to pretend to move! Added 3 - 3cuft bags of soil and barely made a dent to add depth. Looking better, though! We can grow rocks and somehow imported more rocks for retaining walls and different sizes of gravel for the driveway around the house and gravel back yard. Some is under snow, water, or mud. Some was carried away in our tires to places unknown. My 40 x 40 is actually 4 properties, was 5 till we needed to consolidate to build a new garage, so our house is on one side of the road against a cliff and the other 3 are across the road on top of a cliff. We have a view of the Sierras, our official historical town center with a few original bldgs, a local historical train depot across the canyon with historical tracks for the tourists going down below our cliff several times a day in the tourist season with real steam engines spewing black smoke every 45 mins... And we're in the high desert with our town population at around 69 people. The official touristy town is a mile up the road where we don't go in unless we need to get to the PO We have 3 neighbors, one neighbor's black lab that likes to play in our 1ft deep gutter pond for hours and the one neighbor with the daytime chicken buffet with coyotes and hawks all day. The best is NO FLEAS!!!

We moved to SW Missouri from our 10.25 in SE Wisconsin in 1988. We got 80 acres and have never regretted the decision. Pa is almost 80 (Apr.) and I will be 76 so we no longer actively farm. We had around 45 head of Gelbvieh cattle, had over 20 Alpine goats, also sheep, pigs and chickens and a duck (that an owl got). Also had horses and a mule named Jenny (naturally)! We currently rent out our pastureland but have saved a wooded area like you have with a pond where I take the dogs (and some cats) to get their exercise. This is where we will leave this earth. We know how you're feeling right now because that's how we felt in 1988.

God brought me my 40x40, and I married him! The Lord blessed me enormously in this man, and every year that passes, I appreciate the gift of my husband more and more, along with all our children and our grandchildren. We have way more than either of us ever expected from God. His generosity is incredible! God bless you all at Doss Farm. Have a lovely week coming.
