Hello, regarding that you need to consult your nearest DOST office para mapag-usapan if they'll allow you to pursue Med School before having your service. (I had attended the previous 2022-2023 DOST Qualifiers' Orientation, and that was one of the questions mentioned there. Hope my answer helps!)

Hello! If you qualified for either RA7687 or Merit, you can render your service in your chosen field. Upon getting your clearance ang kukunin lang naman nila is your service record indicating where and how long you rendered your service. If you qualified for RA10612 though, it has to be in a public school talaga and you have to serve as a teacher. In my case, my major is physics and I’m lucky enough to be given subject loads in physics or physical science.

Hi sorry for the long overdue reply. Yeah, I still received salary when I worked sa Deped. Once you get in, you’ll be given a position that is equivalent to Special Science Teacher I.

Hello! Sorry for the late reply. Nope you don’t need to have educ units to qualify. But if ever u qualify and then you’ll be rendering your service na, and then along the way u decided to stick with teaching, then u have to take educ units and pass the LET to be a regular. ☺️

Omo I’m not sure about that though. Nakapag contract signing na ba kayo? After I signed the contract parang na lump sum yung allowance namin nun that is good for 1 sem. So mga after 5mos siguro yun. After that regular na yung hulog nung allowance namin every month though sometimes may delay talaga. 😅

Hello! If you qualify for either RA7687 or Merit, you may render your service in any form and anywhere in the country. But if you applied and qualified for RA10612, then it's really a must for you to render service in the form of teaching in your local senior high school.

parang pwede pa since hindi pa naman failing grade yung 2.25. "Must have a general weighted average of at least 83% or its equivalent and with no conditional or failing mark from the First Semester of First Year until the First Semester of Second Year in college, including in the midyear terms, if enrolled." eto yung isa sa mga standards when applying for DOST JLSS

Hello! Based from DOST's website, you must encode your grades according to what is in your Form 137 or Form 138. That means dapat mo ilagay lahat ng grades mo na nasa forms. ^^

@@msquareddd hello po. I applied po sa DOST Undergrad scholarship for SY 2022-2023 and hindi po ako na qualified sa RA 7678. I remember na dun sa grades input ko sa grade 11, ang subjects na iniligay ko ay based lng sa categorized subject na eng, math and science and hindi ko po lahat na input ang mga specific subjects ko sa grade 11 since yung tatlo lang po ang nasa category. Na upload ko naman po lahat ng scanned docu ko for report card and kahit HUMSS po ako, umabot naman po ng 95 ang average ko. Isa po ba yun sa dahilan kung bakit hindi ako na qualified? May chance pa po ba akong maging qualified soon? Sana po masagot 🥺 thank you❣

Hello! I’m actually not sure on what exact bases DOST used for their selection so I can’t really say for certain na yan yung rason for not qualifying. Pero don’t worry, may JLSS pa naman so you can try again during your junior year in college. Best of luck! 🥰

Yes! It’s definitely up to you. But do bear in mind that your return of service will be in your local senior high school. If you don’t mind teaching in high school then by all means, go for it! Total same2 lang naman yung benefits. Good luck 🤗

I assume you’re talking about taking up professional education subjects? It’s not a prerequisite naman but if you’re planning to stay being a senior high school teacher, then you have to take profed units and pass the LET to become a regular. Once you enter DepEd kasi, you’ll have a provisional status for 5 years. If you still haven’t passed the LET within that time, then you’ll be terminated.

Hello! Yes you have to maintain a grade. I think atleast 2.75? Not sure though. Pero if may bagsak naman, you can appeal once stating to retain your scholarship and promising na you’ll pass the next take.

As long as within the deadline, your registration/application will be valid. Just bear in mind na you have to complete all necessary documents first before you enter their e-Application portal. Make sure to register on or before November 30,2021. If you’re referring sa mga hotlines and email nila, I think during working hours lang sila makakaresponse. Hope this answers your question 🤗

Hello! Yesyes you have a salary!!! And no walang kaltas! All yours! DOST is only after of the number of years you rendered your service. You only need to provide your service record indicating the length of your service para mabigyan ka ng clearance afterwards.

Hello po, may nabasa po ako na after graduation you must work and serve the country in the same years you received the benefit of the scholarship. So for instance, usually 4years yung most courses natin right? If napaaral ako ng dost inside those 4 years it means 4 years din po muna akong mag rereturn ng service in our country? And if natapos na ako magserve within the same years i received the benefit of the scholarship, pwede na po makapagwork outside the country? Basta nafulfill na ang pagreturn of service?

Yep! Exactly! In my case, 2 years ko na enjoy yung scholarship. So I had to render service in the country for that same amount of time. Just got my clearance recently and my name was already erased sa nbi. You can pay naman if you won’t render the service needed BUT it comes with big interests!!!

Hello po! Yes po pero I’m not sure if stackable yung scholarships. In my experience po kasi, prior to being a DOST scholar I was also an institute scholar. Pero nung nakapasa na ako sa DOST, kailangan ko mamili kung alin yung i-aavail ko na scholarship. Since mas malaki talaga ang incentives ng DOST, yun yung pinili ko.

The monthly stipend of merit scholars depend on their family’s socio-economic status. So there are some scholars who receive the full 7k monthly stipend while there are some who receive only the portion of it. Other than that, all other benefits are the same for RA and Merit scholarships ☺️
