Hi! Based off of my personal inquiry last year, it depends on if the univ and program you're transferring to is accepted by DOST-SEI. Then what will happen is that your scholarship will most likely be on hold for one year then will continue for the rest. The explanation behind that is for example you had a 4-year course, so your scholarship is good for 4 years. Before you transferred, you already enjoyed a year of benefits from dost, so technically you just have 3 years of the scholarship left. But it's a case-to-case basis so it's up to them to determine what would happen in your case if ever. Goodluck, future scholar! 😊

Hello! Yes, the 3 universities you've mentioned accept DOST Scholars; I'm currently a student in UST. To answer your other comment, hindi sa pangalan ng school nakadepende yung scholarship. DOST-SEI has specific criteria that determines if your chosen course & school is eligible. I suggest that you first search in their website if your chosen course is in their list, and if the department of your chosen college is recognized as a Center of Excellence (CoE) by CHED

Hello! Maybe you can try to contact DOST-SEI if posible pang humabol, but if not, it's open again for incoming third year students (so apply ka during your second year). Sorry I can't answer your question directly kasi wala rin akong idea with cases like that, but maybe it has something to do with the possibility of you taking a leave of absence during your scholarship para lang din ma-inform sila. Hi! As long as incoming 1st or 3rd year college ka and di mo pa na-take yung exam, I think you can still apply, but it's great if you check their page nalang rin just to be sure 😊

If di ka na magtatake ng master's degree or phd, yes ata, required na magwork ka agad after graduating. Yung service na yun, basically you need to work inside the country, and yung line of work na yun dapat related sa degree program na tinake mo nung college. You can see the guidelines rin sa website nila (nasa vid description) para mas malinawan ka :)

Hello! I'm not sure if open pa scholrship for incoming 3rd year students, pero ang general requirement is hindi ka pa nakapagtake ng exam sa dost and kasama sa list of programs nila yung gusto mong lipatan. Hello! Afaik hindi maclaclaim yung sobra na tuition fee allowance as there's already a monthly stipend. But it's best to ask dost-sei themselves because I'm not really aware of those technicalities.

Hi I'm not op but I would like to answer your question, mayroon two types ng undergraduate scholarship yung DOST which is Merit and RA 7687. Sa Merit walang required na annual income then sa RA 7687 dapat di lagpas dun sa cut-off values for annual income not sure lang sa exact amount. I'm a DOST Merit Scholar. You can also check their website for more details search mo lang dost sei. Sana nakatulong 🙆

Hi! During our orientation, I remebered that state univ/college students won't receive the 40k tuition fee defrayal na kasi wala nga daw tuition hahaha. Yung pera kasi for tuition hindi siya pumapasok sa bank account ng scholar unlike the monthly allowance etc., trinatransfer siya mismo ng dost-sei sa uni/college mo para sila magbawas sa tuition. Hi! Yes, there's still a huge part of the tuition that we have to pay, but the scholarship really helps with the monthly stipend and other benefits.

The length of the return of service is equivalent to the length of your scholarship

It depends on your specific case pag nag-fail ka, titignan pa siya ng staff ng dost-sei bago magdecide ng final verdict :)

Hello! That's also my plan and it's okay naman sa DOST, just inform them too. Your residency in med already counts as part of the return of service requirement from dost :)))

Nakadepende yung ros sa tagal mong na-enjoy benefiits ng scholarship (4 years scholar = 4 years ros). Based on my understanding pwede ka naman mag-sideline basta makasunod ka sa guidelines mg dost :)))

Hindi naman top 1, kailangan top 5%. Halimbawa 200 students ang strand mo, dapat po at least rank 10 ka or above kasi yun ang 5% (Formula: #ofStudents * 0.05)

Hi kuya, I need your help. Incoming grade 8 student palang po ako this year and gusto po ako pagkuhanin ng scholarship. Kapag po ba kumuha non ay agad-agad na mag e-exam? Yung ibang sasagutan po kasi suguro doon ay wala pa po akong kaaalaman. Paano po iyon? Natatakot din po kase ako, baka kapag bumagsak ako makatanggap ako ng masasakit na salita sa pamilya ko. Yes, and there's actually the OWWA Scholarship that you may consider as well.

Hi! I just checked and it seems na wala sa list as of now, but DOST-SEI adds new programs to the list yearly (I think) so it's best if you check again when you plan on applying ;)

Ang kapalit ng dost scholarship is "return of service" which basically means kung gano mo katagal na-enjoy yung scholarship, ganun ka rin katagal magtratrabaho sa pilipinas through a career that's related to your college degree. Yung nabanggit mo na babayaran would only be applicable if hindi ifufulfill ng student yung return of service na agreement sa contract :)

Hi. I want to ask if the return of service must be done immediately after boards or graduation. I am a new DOST scholar and plan ko po sana mag medschool diretso then will do the ROS after medschool. Pwede po ba ganon?

Hello! I'm assuming that hindi pa kayo nakakapag-orientation given our current situation, ma-claclarify din nila yun 😅 Pero yes, you can go to med school before fulfilling the ROS naman, may need lang ata sila ma-inform beforehand 😊

Hi Kuya, Can I ask po? If your Course is one of the top priority courses, Stem Student, top 5% nang class. Pero yung school na a-applyan nyu for college is not a ( Center of Excellence ) nang CHED ang department, and its a private school. Hi! I've checked their website and the college should be certified as Center of Excellence OR Center of Development, so baka pasok pa rin yung school na cinoconsider mo. But it's still best to contact dost-sei about the specific details para sure na makukuha mo na sagot. Goodluck future Pharmacist! 💜
