So smooth and elegant! He makes it look so easy, but it is not. Thanks for the important tip about the hands; being fluid and dynamic in movement.

Yo! Freeheelers..(the self proclaimed legendary Chucky Gross here, from Telemarktips.) Listen, Scotty can ski, no doubt. Great interview Craig. Chucky’ s tips: Look at his hands! This is so critical in the success of strong telemark skiing. The hands are LOW along with forward. I’ve been watching so many on the hill and in telemark videos on KZbin. So many with hands HIGH. So many stabbing their poles with hands HIGH above the shoulders. Poles too long. HORRIBLE!!! It’s ugly, inefficient and will limit your progression. Chucky recommends short poles and no stabbing!!! Clean up your game! Don’t be lame! With Love, Chucky!

I have a question! Are 100mm skis under foot too wide to learn on with double rocker? Are 72mm under foot with flat tail and traditional camber too hard to learn on? If I've been snowboarding for 30 years does it even matter? Is one more versatile that will get me going quicker on a wider variety of terrain? Thanks!

Great video. How much pressure are you putting on your uphill ski? I’ve heard anywhere from 20%~50%…
@FreeheelLife2 жыл бұрын
90% to the rear (between the ears), hopefully that translates to 50/50. It also depends on the specific circumstances - pitch, snow, speed, carving, slarving, etcetera.
