Absolutely gorgeous!!… I really enjoyed this video!! Thank you!😎 I just found out that in the package of the ruler (behind the label) it comes with a “1-inch” acrylic “stick” that you put in the ruler end hole so you can make your circles. Basically, you put this in the hole that is made from the tack as a post for ruler to anchor to. (Hope that makes sense!) It”s easily over-looked in the package Thought people would want to know!..😎

Lovely. Question: How do you get the petal shapes to end up evenly around the circle so they join up perfectly?

Hi Janna! Great Question! It does depend on the size of the mandala your working with. The one in this tutorial the mandala is 12 inches I believe?? I have the size at a one inch petal and the smaller is set to 1/2 inch (measuring top of petal to bottom point of petal) Normally I would use a watercolor pencil and mark out each one, starting in any area. If I find myself coming too close to the other (being the last one in my row) I would just simply sketch out a smaller looking petal, honestly its usually such a small detail, you would hardly notice it. I usually like to sketch out shapes before I start to paint though just to be sure. Hope this helps.

The only reason the ruler is priced at $18 is because I hand drill the holes myself. I don't have a supplier that sells them for me. I often at times put the ruler on sale, which marks it down a bit, I suggest to put it in your favorites on Etsy so that you get notifications on when a sale is running. I just had one this past weekend 😔
