In this video, we're going to learn how to create a step-by-step tutorial for mandala dot art. By the end of this tutorial, you'll be able to create beautiful mandalas of your own!
If you're interested in learning how to create mandala art, then this is the video for you! In this tutorial, we'll guide you through the process of creating a mandala from start to finish. By the end, you'll be able to create beautiful mandalas of your own!
In this tutorial I will be showing you a step by step guide to creating a coneflower design. The dotting will be painted on a 12 inch circle board.
This video should be considered at an intermediate level however please feel free to try this out if a beginner.
I think for the outer area I will make a part two to this video..as reference to the outer designs on the circle.

I found that mine lacked the 3D effect we were looking for so I added extra dots between each line and it made all the difference. Looks amazing now! Well I've had a go but wasn't very successful. I'm guessing your tools aren't marks mandala tools (which I have) they look the same but I think the sizing is different as my dots have come out smaller. It was just a practice so not too bothered. Im not sure how to share my pic for you to see.

@@lyn8381 Yes I don't use Mark's Mandala Tools, they are a different brand and come in more sizes. I have a link in the description if you are interested in using the same ones I do. Hi Connie, I actually love to use an eraser by prismacolor called magic rub. I never have an issue with removing my lines. a.co/d/8SH6HeT I would also recommend using a watercolor pencil and damp qtips to remove it.

It is so helpful when you tell us the size of the board or canvas used, the paint colours as well, as you've done here. Knowing the tool size used also please. It is extremely difficult to get any idea of the canvas size on the videos. I saw one artwork today I honestly though it was 40cm but turned out too being 12", another tutorial I thought it to be either 40cm or 12" but turned out it was only 4" or equivalent. I really love the 3D effect obtained in this project and I am hoping I can paint this also.

What size was the mdf board you used for the coneflower design that you sold? So beautiful.

Hi Beverley, the one that was sold in the video thumbnail there was a 24" mandala. It was rather large. The video shows a 12" I believe just to shorten the video. I might start making some timelapse videos of the large mandalas as I paint them with info cards.

Hi, I'm from the United States so the colors I purchase for this particular video were from a line carried by Walmart. I believe it's the brand Apple Barrel.

Normally I would take a fine thin paint brush and draw a line down each opening of the cones. So yes I do. ☺️

Are you referring to the dot sizes I use? They are typically anywhere from 1mm to 1/4 inch. If it's the actual circles I make for the mandala board, they are between 12 and 24 inches in diameter.

It was given in the video, it is a 12" circle mandala.or if you mean every guideline circle they are spaced every 1/4 inch apart. (6.35mm)

@@stephaniesummana7977 Hello! I usually measure in imperial, which is every 1/4 inch. so that would be roughly 6.35mm . The ruler I sell already has the holes to measure properly for each circle you make.
