after loving Underlords for the entirety of Season 1, I decided to start playing Dota2 about a month ago. I'm so glad you are making a series on getting started and understanding Dota2. My gaming friends have played for about 6 years, so I'm looking to get as much good info and tips. As always, thanks for the great content, Alex!

Of course i watched videos but they were not like these videos. They were really hard to understand and you really made your videos simple. Videos are really easy to understand and they give a lot of knowledge. Thank you for the videos you published. You are amazing...

It's a great game once you get past the incredible learning curve! But I think coming from LoL you'll have a good grasp on the mechanics and general gameplay so it's a good transition :)

@@AlexanderCoccia you ll get a feeling of good map rotations from the get go because awareness on where people might go at a certain point or how to keep downtimes low and get a pathing done is kinda similar. i m really loving weaver atm because he kinda works as support or carry (had some games with no supports at all and.. well yeah) suport weaver with a 30 seconds time rewind on allies is actually really cool. your tank runs in, team is wasting spells, and you pretty much get him back to full hp with time rewind, dmg is nice, perma invis and insane speed, i love that guy

Day 3 of learning Dota 2: there's so many cool heroes, I can't even decide on who to play. :^) I played my first "all pick"(?) match (the one where you can play every hero available and you can ban stuff) and I went 1/8/5 as Tiny playing against people who had over 1.6k hours of playtime lmao. I love Tiny though, his Toss is funny as hell and I keep accidentally throwing my teammates around. Not sure how to play Tiny early though. I've watched a high elo match where someone played Tiny but even though he was like 16/3 he couldn't do anything that match except get one or two picks once in a while. The game's fun! Love learning more about it!
@davesandr013 жыл бұрын
PS: it's insane how superior Dota 2's tutorial is to the tutorial for League of Legends. The bonus stuff provided by the Dota 2 plus membership is also absolutely incredible. You get information in the client that League players have to use additional websites for.
@AlexanderCoccia3 жыл бұрын
Glad to hear that you're having fun! And yeah, Dota Plus offers a lot of stuff although it could be argued that it should be free because assists that help new players would be beneficial for everyone for free. I hope you continue to enjoy the game!

Alex. Idk if you know this but you are creating a monster. And the only way to satiate my hunger is to play games with the name Dota in it. Honestly though I was never sure on how a carry should be operating. This is extremely extremely extremely helpful. Like when should I be creeping....when should I be laning....mostly wtf am I supposed to be doing? lol Me personally I've always been a support fanatic and I will forward to that video with great anticipation. But honestly thanks for all of the help. Being able to know what other people might be thinking when running their characters is so useful!!!! Have a great day!

There’s no jungle in dota? Or is still like a carry or hard carry?
@AlexanderCoccia4 жыл бұрын
Jungling is dead as of the current meta. You won't have a dedicated jungler like the old days. There are heroes that can effectively hop into the jungle to farm and then hop back in lane, like Anti-Mage, but it's rare to have someone solely work the jungle.

I've played League of Legends for a while. DotA2 is something else entirely. In League I can solo 1v5 versus bots easy. In this game I get wrecked by bots. How in the world are you supposed to kite and animation cancel in this game?????

Animation cancel with the S key (stop command)! Kiting is harder due to the turn rates on heroes. I have a video specifically for League players one sec let me hunt it down
