I have always liked the idea Pudge was not made that fat or like a corpse, but rather because of how long he had been tending to the dead in a land where nothing decays he started to eat the bodies that piled up and what flesh was left over, he stitched to his own body as it tore from his endless feast replacing what fell off of his grotesque body with the remnants of a war long past.

according to the warcraft lore.. necromancer is lich who used to be an orc leader named nerzhul.... friend of axe(Grom hellscream) and warlock(Guldan)... he was betrayed by kiljaden and war risen as the necromancer lich.

Umm, Necromancer doesn't necessarily equal "Warcraft". A necromancer is just someone that has necromantic, or the ability to control or at least have a connection to the dead. A lich is someone who has died and their soul remains in something called a "phylactery".

Tdk Pyromaniac I should be saying that to you. Dota 2 is a sequel of DotA 1, but it doesn't mean it shares a "universe" inside it. The creator of Warcraft is Blizzard. Dota is made by people who are completely unrelated to Blizzard. If Dota 2 is connected to Warcraft, then Valve shouldn't make effort changing their characters to avoid being sued by Blizzard. Lich was named Kel'Thuzad in Warcraft DotA, now he's just Ethreain the Lich. Nyx Assassin was the NERUBIAN Assassin, and that is a race in Warcraft. If you claim that Dota 2 is still connected to Warcraft, then Valve shouldn't change the names of the Heroes and left them as is. Weaver is no longer the Nerubian Weaver, Zharvakko the Witch Doctor should remain as Vol'Jin the Witch Doctor. Brewmaster and the 3 Spirits should still be a Pandaren. Should I continue?

i dont think this is the original lore of pudge... pudge is a butcher whose job was to cut up corpses of dead warriors so that corpse eaters like crows, vultures or hyenas could feed on them because back then, corpses dont decompose.

Retconned I guess. Some lore changes did happen.Our pudge is alive but some reference to this is Quiodge a place where it seems the dead literally live.Cant say how things would actually have been but now you r right the butcher is a job in the lands of endlessncarnagenpudge has been a long-standing butcher surviving battles and then doing the decomposing himself so the crowd can eat them.he cut the middlemen and started eating himself.this hunger grew insatiable but he didn't leave the fields for that.until something happened and now he is stuck in the war of the ancients.

It actually is, Ezalor and Chaos knight are both fundamentals, light and chaos (or darkness), they are oposite just like Io and Enigma, fundamentals too... Life (or creation), and gravity (or destruction). These 4 are like the creators of the Dota world, like gods among the gods. Thats why it would be so interesting to see the lore fo these 2. Eternal enemys, but brothers.

that would be an interesting one to see, but like dazzle and huskar, if they do one, it'll be right after the other. You obviously know this, but Chaos Knight is traveling dimensions searching for "the light", and seeks to crush it. Is ezalor what Nessaj is looking for? we'll have to find out when those episodes come out. :)

The idea of pudge being someones creation doesent settle for me, i like to think he was a solitary man starting from butcher, turned cannibal, turned something worse, for example eating rotten flesh off an undead and dying then becoming undead. but yeah pudge doesn't have red eyes there discolorated from cannibalism i like to assume.

Sapphire Shard warcraft is different and dota 2 is different now? can you enlighten us how? because skeleton king is wraith king, necrolye is necropus and windrunner is winranger now? dota 1 lore was based on an epic campaign.. and based on that campaign the heros were selected when ice frog came up with dota map.. and dota 2 is just an improvised version of dota .. just because the hero introduction is different in dota 2 .. you cannot say the lore's are different.. dota 2 can have a seperate lore when valve can come up with much more epic campaign than blizzard .. which i doubt it can.

TheYodadrunk Wow, you're so mad. Did I insult you or shun you? No. All I did was say it's a different story. And actually, yes. Dota 2 IS different from DotA 1, now. And FYI, I HAVE been playing DotA WAY before Dota 2 was even thought of. And I was interested in their stories much more than the gameplay. You're so quick to insult people, yet you don't even know who the hell you're talking to. Now back to the topic, Dota 2 IS different from DotA 1. The characters are not what they used to be in the prequel. Nyx Assassin used to be an undead Nerubian who fights for the Lich King of the Scourge. Now he's just a random grub of his colony chosen for the special purpose of killing for his queen. And FYI, the original DotA had no connection to Blizzard other than the fact the game is based on something Blizzard has made. But everything else, it's either copied/modified information, or simply stuff they came up with themselves.

Teja Bollempalli technically I can say the lores are different. Warcraft is a completely different realm in which Dota is not even really a part of. Blizzard did NOT create Dota, only the game it is based on. Dota is made by Icefrog, who now works with Valve to create Dota 2. And since he can now create his own characters without the limitations or restrictions of the Warcraft models or stories, the ties between the old and new game/story are severed.
