Awakening, enlightenment, and liberation are becoming far more mainstream possibilities than they once were. There are many good teachers out there, and if you resonate with the teachings of Eckhart Tolle, Rupert Spira, or Sadhguru, you might find resources here that address these deeper promptings to investigate your true nature.

Does anyone else get this uneasy awareness when talking to someone else and making eye contact? Its this weird realization that only comes with direct eye to eye contact with another person...almost like both people know they are stuck in their rolls roles...and it's as if that awareness overtakes the topic at hand...but both people are stuck in that disconnect, wanting to keep the ego, or social mores, or whatever drives us, in place, and unable or refuse to acknowledge it. It doesn't happen if you can't see the other persons eyes, for example if they are wearing sunglasses. However, sometimes that direct eye to eye contact yields this perfect connection...sometimes, ironically even more so with a stranger in passing...this perfect connection that is beautiful and feels so perfect.

The person that really hit hard with his question (for me anyway) was Kyle. A similar kind of question pops up every now and again, and for a split second there's like a 'what the hell is this thing called existence?' moment; and then there's the slight vertigo; spine chills and also a quite intense feeling of fear. I've always felt lost after those moments and didn't really know what to do with them. Thank you for the suggestions. I'm really enjoying these long form vids too.

Whaa. Was actually listening to his question now, and it felt surprisingly relatable to some of my experience as well. The question of "how can there be a preference", "what is a choice?", "how can Life know how to make a choice?", "how come anything appears distinct?" - still feel profound. It felt enjoying to see someone coming from this direction.

The word ‘strange’ he used is really the most hard hitting for me… it is really strange, Angelo and alma kind of skipped over that and offered structured advice but really there is no structure to anything. It’s like reality starts coming apart at the seams and it can be really unsettling. I think Kyle was looking for some reassurance that other people have experienced this fear when hitting that strange place. I’ve experienced it extremely viscerally on mushrooms, it’s like there is no where to ground yourself, nothing is predictable, nothing has any structure. When you really truly see through the illusion of reality it can be quite terrifying.

@@innernesss I've heard Angelo address in various occasions what he referred to as the fear barrier. I wonder if the experience you recounted might be similar? I too have experienced this bodily feeling like the entire reality would crack in front of me. It seems like a specific inner place, that when I "touch" it, this deep visceral fear seems to arise. My hands starting to sweat, for example. The way I've been able to describe it is by associating it with being in the middle of a tornado and seeing everything around being ripped apart.

These Q + As are always so helpful. Kyle's question about sharing his story about health and how this has helped him really got my attention. I was also concerned about whether I would cause harm by talking about it too soon too. I decided to open up about it because I feel like it really has been a huge reason why I've been doing so much better and it felt like leaving it out was meaning I was leaving out a huge part of what has helped me.

One of the last comments about how relations and friendships become seen in a different light rang so true. I saw through creating unconscious bonds dictated by bloodline and social norms etc, but we still have to weed through relations both personal and professional on a daily basis for survival. I find myself getting caught up in feeling disappointed, even in friendships created from a more awake perspective. I adore the feeling of friendships, isn't it just love! I have to stay aware and continually check in, and ask what's really happening here? Don Miguel Ruiz did the world a great favor with his four agreements. Don't take anything personal and don't make assumptions are the two that come to mind, right now. These aren't only stepping stones on the way to non dual consciousness, for me they remain guideposts and traffic signs for keeping 'boots on the ground'.

This channel is helping me upgrade/super charge my practice, and I am very grateful. I am binging on the double barrel episodes and view it like I have a new group of friends. Recently I distanced myself from a couple of friends so I could inquire deeper without being distracted by their 'constant' problems (they aren't seeing it the same way I am) I want to help but need to be a better example for them first. These episodes are relevant. Alma and Angelo are absolutely fantastic, no other words.

What a great video as always Angelo, thank you for everything you do. For Kate, the second lady- Scott Kiloby does a lot of work on subconscious repression. Often this mechanism that we all learned in childhood protects the trapped emotions. It’s mostly unconscious so we don’t see it happening and it may need skilful means to bring it into consciousness. This is the work he does and I’m finding it very helpful for myself, my experience sounds very similar to yours. Good luck!

I don't want to be fatalist or totalitarian regarding the energy or shadow work, but what is felt here is that is absolutely no control in the field and energy movements, or better said, everything is happening by itself. 😂🤣 English is not my native language, so it is a little bit difficult to express this in words. Maybe the best comparison is water.. Is arising, is flowing so freely.. It's impossible to know or to predict the moves.. 😬The conditionings, the patterns, the emotions arise so spontaneously, sometimes it's so strange that the energies are moving by themselves, contraction and expansion are perfectly orchestrated.. 🤨

Hi, Christine 😁 Beautifully said! It's a mystery... isn't it? 💛 It does feel like life is moving through you, as a conduit... and it also feels like there's a you in a storyline doing shadow work 😂 Here is a kind of funny story. I have been doing "inner work" for a long time. It's been like an emotional tsunami. I have so many instances where I feel I've uncovered an unconscious reactivity trigger. I'll then experience what can only be described as the Universe's cosmic joke 😂 whereby I will be pushed to my limit, and realize there's more work to be done. Only the work isn't a neat little diy gestalt session in the comfort of home. It's in everyday life. Unexpected. It feels the more I delve into the shadow and trauma release, the worse my "external reality" seems to be 😂 in terms of challenges arising out of nowhere. How coincidental 🤣... Life is the teacher and there's no one trying to "do inner work", and yet it's being experienced as such, and happening... purely by placing attention into the emotion-body. How cool is that?! 👏👏👌✨💛 I like your water analogy... unstoppable force in constant shifting (transmutation)... 🌊 just like life... free-flow... Your english is perfect 😉

@@buddhasdojo9368 I can't even imagine how much work goes into being a professional artist, or working in theater and touring... and practicing. That is a real dedication to your passion. My little nieces are both part of a ballet company, and they train and tour nationwide in performances. It's on such a small scale, but they log in hours of training and I don't know where they get the stamina! 😂 Wish I could have one tenth of their energy levels, haha! Imagine doing it professionally. I tip my hat off to you. Peace and quiet is my preference too! I try to minimize stress as much as possible and live a very relaxing life, free from drama! 😂 Our Christmas was very relaxing... just a family get together. Had a very enjoyable, chilled out time with the fam and the kids had a fun time!! 😊💛 I love that you mentioned John Butler 💛 He is such a profound and wise chap... with incredible insights into life. I love his channel too. He's such an inspiration!! 💖✨ He's right... we're literally cradled in this realm by life itself. We don't exist apart from life.. as a plant exists within the soil, nourished by the sun and water. We're in a cohesive symbiotic relationship with life, as life. It reminds me of Alan Watts, when he said we didn't come into this world.. we came out of it 💛😁 I hope you are enjoying your retirement, and relishing the peaceful tranquility of a more relaxing pace of life. That's all I ever long for, myself. I'd love to someday live off grid in the woods 🤗 Have a wonderful New Year... I pray it's your best year yet, filled with happy memories and lots of joy!! 🎊🎉🙏💖✨ May you have a blessed day! Lots of love!!! Keep well! 🤗💕🎊💫

Thank you for sharing 🙏💚 It seems everyone has an experience which they try to make sense of. The experience is shared and committed to memory ( post processing?) The advice is either inquiry or allowing , there's no one size fits all and this may or not take place in real-time or post processing. In some cases there seems to be a seeking of a validation that the experience is connected to awakening or at least a measure of progress in that realm. I also wonder what part bypassing plays in all of this?

Hello, Birgit! 🤗💛 I hope you are keeping well? I'm curious about something... seeing through the thoughts and feelings... as passing phenomena, with no inherent meaning... no-thingness... and no doership... how is life experienced, for you? Is there "equanimity"? Or "relief"? Is it as simple as what is simply here, as everything.. all that is... and that, seeing clearly, can be clouded by a single thought that says, "no, not this.. it's something else"...? I also wanted to ask you if you feel that there is an "end process" to insights/discoveries/realizations on the path? 😊 Sorry these are more just curiousities I have... and please don't feel the need to respond. I'm just curious. They're quite weird questions...I'm fascinated to know how someone like Angelo, or Adya, or Eckhart perecives reality as unbound consciousness, and not through the perceptual filters of separation. I'm also curious as to whether this unraveling is gradual... It feels like it is for me... Hope you had a wonderful Christmas, and I truly hope you have a blessed, fantastic New Year too (in case I forget to wish you), I hope for only the very best life has to offer you, and many more exciting and happy moments, Birgit Xx Thanks for keeping it real! I hope the surprises in life never end for you! 🦉🌲🌻🍂🍁💛🤗

@ianbrown8292
@ianbrown8292 Жыл бұрын
Were you the first Kyle with the question at around 17:20 asking about that feeling of thinking or sensing into the fact that there's existence at all? I also have had this thought, starting as a kid, and it has been picking up more recently as I've been meditating and sensing into non-duality/exploring experience. It's almost like yes there's experience, there's the senses, etc, the mind identified constructions, whatever, but then you think that there's anything happening at all. Like this is it. What else would there be, if not this? I sometimes ask myself that in order to Koan my way into the feeling/view we're talking about here. You kind of take, "if not this" in one hand and try to compare it with, "what else would there be." And so you have a small handle on 'this' and there's nothing you can imagine that would fit beyond it, because this is it.. When you described it being recognized for like a split-second, I completely resonate with that, it's not something that can be held onto or sensed for too long before you "lose it". I always assumed this was part of non-duality and that I would need to explore that more because it's really profound. So I was very happy to hear your question whether it has relevance in this process, where does it fit in contextually with non-duality? And not knowing what to make of it. I think the answers were more geared toward 'solving' the sensation with clear seeing, kind of the approach to take with everything but not so much with what you asked. Maybe the answers are applicable but wasn't what I wanted to hear? It didn't feel completely addressed in my opinion. Show less
@kp-xxl
@kp-xxl Жыл бұрын
@@ianbrown8292 YES you described it really well. I regretted my initial phrasing; I made it sound like a question that I wrestle with when it's actually a visceral wordless thing that just clotheslines me out of the blue. And part of the bafflement is how it's not simple to categorize, even amongst other big existential feelings (not really terror, not quite nausea etc). Like I said above I couldn't hear like 2/3rds of what they said at the time, so it's unfortunate it couldn't have been a more clarifying dialogue. But having watched now, Angelo threw a beautiful new wrench into it with his question around 22:40 "What assumption are you still making? That there *is* anything at all." The feeling hasn't resurfaced in the same way since the meeting, but I'm starting to regard it differently. Whether it's relevant in the context of awakening/non-duality or not, it has an undeniable potency that does not compare to my experience with a lot of "traditional" inquiries, so in that sense I'm kind of valuing it as one way to jam my particular foot in the door of raw reality. (Also since you & I both have encountered it more often since exploring the non-dual/whatever territory, it's probably not Completely irrelevant lol). There's also a sort of comfort (or at least resignation) in recognizing there's not much I can do about it anyway, since existence already is (except well now Angelo fucked me up with that question so ???)
@ianbrown8292
@ianbrown8292 Жыл бұрын
@@kp-xxl Completely agree! The same thing he said stuck out for me too, making the assumption that there is anything at all lol. But it does seem like there is something because I keep thinking that's kind of what we're coming to realize more and more over and over, the one taste, pure experience, thisness.. Very paradoxical. Thanks again for asking the question. I didn't expect to ever hear something I've been thinking about since I was a kid asked by someone else. It's comforting to know other people also have this sense/question/etc.
