I’ve been enjoying your boy le bass series a lot because you give quite useful information. Ok this one tho the only thing I went with is: it swings more. And it left me a bit confused on what did you mean by that and what other differences you noticed. I recently bought a roland td07 kv and am using a dw2000 and are enjoying it quite a bit. Thanks for your vids. 👊🏽💥 Greetings from Mexico!

How didn't i think that use weights to stable my electronic kick pad? Thanks man you helped me a lot with your vids so far ❤️.

This man is still going strong. I've been playing on the kd 10 for the past year but upgrading to a good mesh is really expensive $500. I might wait another year or figure out a way to play acoustic as you mentioned. I'll try the weights trick. Gym workout videos when?

When going from aco kit to ele (forced by band) I wondered for a while what is wrong as my kick was just horrible. Like having jello as my foot. I noticed the swinging but these weights didnt work that good. I put a large, heavy monitor amp resting against the kd9 pad and that pretty much stopped all swinging. So Id suggest putting sometjing heavy and large, if possible, so it rests on pad leg part and also against the upper pad part. That worked for me. Now after years with ele I have problem with acoustic. And it is more than just "some" :) Problem is pads dont resonate like acoustic so when going really fast, the previpus hit resonance on acoustic head affects the next hit (dpuble pedal, both beaters on the same drum). With ele pad there is no such and every hit the pad responds the same. So now Im totally screwed trying to go fast on acoustic. To the level pulling out my hair and screaming :)

I've been practising heavily against my couch with my pedals which is obviously a really soft surface, is that bad overall to do that consistently?

Nice vid man 👍 I have a Roland TD10 kick and I’ve hard mounted (bolted) into a normal acoustic 22in bass drum. It’s rock solid and looks just like an acoustic Bass drum. It’s concealed by black coated heads. Only the head of the TD10 slightly juts out on the beater side. It’s all in one and is transported just like an acoustic drum ☺️ It doesn’t move at all and has great response imo of course, but the important thing is it’s as solid as a conventional acoustic drum! But I totally agree to use any available opportunity to practice on a full acoustic set, to keep the feel. No matter what you do, the feeling and response will never be the same.

Thank you:) ''No matter what you do, the feeling and response will never be the same.'' exactly like that. If you are good with that TD10 responce that's great.. means you did a very good job on stabilization.

What spring tension shud we set to play faster n mid tempos at electric kick pads?
@ErceArslan
@ErceArslan 4 жыл бұрын
For faster plays it's always better to setup spring tension tight or maximum tight
