One of the finest comedies we have ever watched. A perfect mixture of all the elements that created this pure, delightful magic. Thanks so very much. We love Chester Morris but Nancy Kelly and the actor that played Ben were stellar. Oh, all the supporting actors were 99% bang on as was the writing and directing. Really totally pleased and inspired! Gordon Welke and Leona Sackaney

I just love these comedies from the 40s and 50s, especially the screwball comedies. Sure, they don't have you rolling on the floor, but unlike today's movies they don't resort to bathroom jokes or farting references. The folks in the supporting roles are kind of fun, especially the guy who has been married multiple times. Funny, without stealing the scene from the stars when he tried to hit on the female photographer.

@@DarkFlamage Actually, the phrase is more properly stated as "you'd better",contracted from "you had better" ; " you better" is conversational usage, incorrect for the written word. Nancy Kelly is only 23 years old in this (at least by release date of 1944). She seems a lot older, like 36. I just watched her in 1939 "Stanley and Livingstone" with Spencer Tracy. She was only 18, very pretty. Info says she was born in Lowell, Massachusetts in 1921. Jack Kelly (Bart Maverick on "Maverick" TV Show) is her brother. She was in "Tarzan's Desert Mystery" (1943) with Johnny Weissmuller. Playing "Connie" not "Jane". I tried to find it to watch, but for some reason it is highly protected.
