Just bought the b80pro with all the bells and whistles. Looking forward to learning from you. I’ve been brewing all grain for about 10 years on a diy system. I’m a welder/fabricator so it was a nice set up just very manual and labor intensive. I have two children so doing something that was taking up all of my weekend and killing my back made me take a 2 year break. You said in one of your videos that the system makes it enjoyable and the labor is minimal. I mean it has a drain port. I got the CIP ball and everything! I am so excited to finally have this beautiful machine!

Nice vid. That will definitely save me clean up time. I find the huge levels of hops when I do my DIPAs don't drain without blockage, so I end up having to scoop out. Will be much easier when I have this.

Another cracking video Bradley, quality camera work as well, i got a headache trying to work out all the 4 valves/positions on the left side of the B80 :-) hope the beer turns out good...
@PortlyGentleman4 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much ! All those valves really were kind of menacing at firstly lol I hope the beer turns out good . Double IPAs aren’t really my style I’m brewing it for my dad he’s pretty picky it should be done another couple of days I’m sure he won’t hold back his criticism lol

@@PortlyGentleman I don't do Doubles myself tbh, my beers range between 4-6% usually, although i have a Porter [Hokum Stomp Clone] which is 6.4% and a really really nice beer, which you have to pay a little respect to if you know what i mean :-)

Loved the video! Had three questions for you, if you don't mind answering them! 1. I was thinking about installing a sink in my garage as well! What sink did you end up going with? 2. I understand you brew in your garage, correct? Do you park your cars in the garage? If so, do you have any concerns about your equipment and car exhaust? Or, do you happen to move your equipment to another room when it's not a brew day? 3. When you installed the steam condensor, do you feel you need the exhaust hood any longer? If I can avoid installing a hood in the garage, I'd love to do so! Thank you so much! Great video! Every time I watch I nearly impulse by BrewTools. You can tell them that :) Cheers!

I’m actually going to drop a video next week going over my sink install ! I do brew in the garage when I fire up the Hellcat The doors are always open that never idols in the garage very very long. I don’t think there’s anything I should be concerned about 🤷♂️ I mainly use it for dust control when I’m mashing in you definitely don’t need one!

I'd like to see how you dump your grains out. I'm always looking for easy/new ways to empty the mash tun.

Another awesome Video shared Bradley. I have had my B80 for a few weeks now and not had a chance yet to do a single brew as I'm still setting up my brew space and kit. Your videos have been most informative! I would very much like to know what you do for water in your brews. You mentioned you have an RO water system. Sounds to me a good topic to share with your subscribers! Thanks you so much for all you have shared with us. Cheers from down under! HnH

@@PortlyGentleman As I love my IPA's I'm thinking to start with a simple NEIPA, anything you'd recommend? To be honest - (I'm sure this will make you laugh or shake your head!) I have never brewed all grain in my life - Last time I brewed beer was in the 80's using canned kits haha. So as the saying goes - I like to live dangerously and dive straight into the deep end! I have been distilling for about 10 years but using using cereals rather than grain so plan to use the B80 to make me some whiskey too. I'm hoping all of the reading / youtubing will pay off. I'm sure I will stumble along the way but with people like yourself in the community I'll be brewing like a pro in not time :-) Well that's the plan haha WIll stop rambling now. Thanks again and Cheers from Down under!

Is that recirculating manifold from Brewtools ? I am brewing on the B 150 and was wondering if they were going to possibly put them out to purchase. I watched all of your content and can’t remember if you covered that in any of them or not! Thanks and you’ve been a great help with the content you’ve been putting out!

Great content, as always. Have you thought about running the steam condenser's waste line directly to the sink?
@PortlyGentleman4 жыл бұрын
I’ll probably put the first 5 gallons down the sink next time! First ever Brewday With a sink. I typically use the last 5 gallons for cleaning as it’s already relatively hot .

Bradley, do you know the recommended maximum grain bill for the B40? Officially it maxes out at 9kg, but I think efficiency will suffer.

Nice video👍🏻 I think that this new equipment will help mostly to reduce loss in worth during transferring to fermenter because wirhpool is anyway very good at B80Pro. But Bradley It could be superb if Yoy show us how to build B80Pro profile in Brewfather app. Include steam hat, boil off volume, water-grain ratio, etc. 😎👍🏻🍻👍🏻😎
