However, if you are passing a Doubled up Line through the 1st jig then running past the doubled line to make it single you are doing nothing that a single line passing through the braid can't achieve on the sliding lure. Unless this is a a magic trick. Bottom Jig Yeppers I concur. Top Jig is useless to double the line.

I'm unclear the point of folding the braid over just to put the line through the eye if you just pull the line straight once passing the eye?? Am I missing something there?

GlindseyTV just makes it easier to get the line through the eyelet

When you cut braid (like cutting rope it frays out) doubling the line over and wetting it makes a point which threads easier.
