I wouldn’t worry about using push ups. It’ll happen when she’s ready. If she gets a good sleep, and you do too then I wouldn’t worry. Addie is so brave, I’m afraid I’d be a big baby. Changing them whilst she’s asleep is a brilliant idea. ❤❤❤

I’ve always been told there’s no just one right way of parenting. You do what you need to do to keep yourself and your children healthy and happy. I agree with others that she will wean off breastfeeding on her own, and probably quicker than you expect. Same with her using the potty, some children are slower than others and that’s okay. It won’t be like this forever mama ❤️ you’re doing a great job.

It is good to see these changes also it is good to attempt when she is awake and what I have liked is when you encourage her to join in and learn eventually for the day she can do it herself just placing some positive encouragement 🙂 and as for the nursing maybe switching to formula very gradually more and more just a friendly thought.
@tinafelten1228
@tinafelten1228 Жыл бұрын
She is 3 years old. She doesn’t need formula. With the shortage of formula it needs to be saved for the babies that really need it. Mom is doing a good job. It is just time for her to stop nursing, be potty trained and sleep in her own bed. Mom just needs to keep working with her and do it everyday.

I agree that you should also be doing changes while she is awake as well. At nearly 3 1/2 years old it’s time to be a big girl and not a baby. Pull ups at night is understandable but she should wear big girl underwear during the day. It’s time to get her ready for preschool and kindergarten. She’s a cutie and Mom is a great Mom, but it’s time to treat her like a big girl and not a baby.

@@tinafelten1228 First id like to say I know opinions are like a$$holes and bellybuttons, everybody has one! Above that i’d like to say you’re doing a GREAT JOB TD1Mmama!!! @@MyInsatiableMJ_Curls_LipsNHips agree with you I'm only offering ideas of encouragement because I like it when she encouraged her daughter to take some interest in her medical condition as a fellow t-1 diabetic myself I believe it is good to be encouraging of children who are t-1 diabetic so they will one day be able to show how proud they are of their parents for giving encouragement of learning from a young age. But yes she is a parent like you have said. But of the videos I've seen where she encouraged her daughter to have an interest 😊 makes me happy 😊 I would say encouragement of interest at the age of 3 would be a tip I would leave to the mother at this stage because diabetes is something she will have to live with for the rest of her life it isn't like an infection that simply goes away. Just my thoughts 💭🤔 coming through also as a person with autism Asperger's and interlectal disability as well as ADHD.

My daughter will be 3 in may and we just recently stopped breast feeding. I kept pushing it off and saying “I’ll start tomorrow” but that never happened and saying only for naps and bedtime but I finally just put my foot down and told her no more one night and gave her a cup and a baby and snuggles instead. It was really hard for the first couple days and then would ask occasionally for the following month without tears because I would distract her with something else and now doesn’t ask for it at all. It’s really really scary finally putting your foot down and sticking to it but if it’s something you really want to do you just have to rip the bandaid off and do it

I know a few ppl with diabetes and I’m pretty sure it effects their bladder and how much they have to go. You would have to ask your doctor for sure but I’m almost 100% sure that it does. It’s definitely a very demanding disease to stay on top of and it has such awful side effects on all other parts of the body. I have a good friend that doesn’t take her’s seriously, and I worry about her and her health. She’s had it since high school and I think she’s 27 now and she doesn’t follow a good diet, smokes and drinks and is always eating what she shouldn’t. I worry about her. Everything is so stressful anymore it seems and so exhausting. I know these are the harder parts of taking a child from the baby stages to a small child stage but once you get thru that, it will get easier and be easier on you. You need to take care of yourself and your health too. You need to be rested and healthy to keep her healthy and you also deserve that. Discipline sometimes feels like it’s being mean, but it’s truly not. Everything you do to make sure she is getting what she needs , shows you are a very attentive and loving mom. She’s like any other child, she’s testing to see how far she can go, we even do it as adults. I would just let the family know when you’re starting with some of the things with Addy so they can give you some extra support with it. Team work is always so much better.

Most people with bladder issues as a diabetic most likely haven’t been diagnosed and treated for it. Excessive thirst and drinking is a symptom of diabetes. If they are being treated and their diabetes is under control they should be just fine. I worked with a diabetic that wrt to the bathroom less times then the coworkers without diabetes.

Me and my friend are 12 and 13. 6 months apart. She's 13, Her name is Abby. She got T1D when she was 7. she's amazing, and so strong. Today, we had a shelter in place for a medical emergency. My first thought was "Is Abby okay?" because, I love abby so much. The thing is she was on the other side of the building. Luckily she was okay. I wrote this comment to show that people with T1D are fighters, and are no different than normal kids.

She doesn’t even have to explain this stuff, as it’s private info she feels like sharing, W/O saying “hey what do you all think??”…. She has a lot on her plate, leave her be and respect that she’s even sharing this with the world where everyone has their own bias thoughts. Let HER choose what’s best for her and Addie as well as her body and her daughter’s! Let’s think ahead like this: •I don’t believe momma will be pulling her ( . )( . ) tatas out of Addie’s mouth as she walks into her kindergarten class! •I don’t believe Addie will be putting on a pull-up before she goes out with some friends to the mall. • I don’t believe Addie will be saying “scoot over in the bed mom” as she gets home from a date •I don’t believe mom will be at Addie’s prom changing her “robot parts (as Addie calls them 🤖🤣) • I DO believe momma will be tearing up 🥹 as she’s watching her BEAUTIFUL t1d (adult) bride 👰🏼 walk down the isle thinking about all the past memories of changing parts, breastfeeding, potty training, sleeping in separate beds, etc as she says “I DO!!” 👰🏼 🤵🏻‍♂️ 🥂 🎂 💍 💕 It will ALL BE OK!!! 👌🏼 She’s doing great as a mom/mommy nurse! Addie is a great little one learning more than many can say they had to learn at the tender age of just turning 3 not long ago! 🥰 So let’s give 😢mom a little break. Remain positive, and think if your shared opinion is something really life threatening if not said just cause you think it should be that way, so you have to bring it up and make it something else t1dmama will have to sit back and think about cause ‘people on your tube said it’ …. ✌🏽☮️ 🖤❤️ Again, no disrespect to anyone m.
