How would one count this? Is the 1st shuffle on "1 and" hop "2" flap R "and 3" flap L "and 4" step "and" It's been awhile since I've done tap, and I'm trying to refresh my memory! Thanks!

Hi!! Good explanation and footwork 😊 Please, I have a doubt and maybe you can help me. I'm a flamenco dancer and we have a step in our footwork technique named "latiguillo", I know that it has been taken from the tap dancing, but in us it's very harmful along the time (I use it very few, I'm old but I teach it in class) My theory is that flamenco dancers use a lot the anger as a basic emotion to express, intrinsic of this art (and from the beginning the technique is not well practiced.) And when you are angry, you don't think properly, you just want to let it all out (leg included) So, after my long testimony, would you please recommend me a tip to avoid injuries? Thank you for your attention!

Could tell me why steps are called "time" steps as opposed to just a name for the step. I've never been able to figure it out. Thanks.

It’s called a time step because the hop in the step happens on the downbeat of 1 and it’s used to get or set the tempo ( the “time”) of the music. That’s what my instructor told me .
